Darlene Reine I want to start the fools gold series. Do I need to read them in order starting with book 1.

Chrisa The stories are independent so no, you don't need to read them in order but there are hints on previous' characters lives in each book so it might just be easier to be absorbed in fool's gold history if you read them in order. :)
