This book is about a boy named Luis who was born in the harsh streets of LA. While he was growing up, he became involved in the gang life and has done some bad things. As he got older, Luis regrets being a part of that lifestyle and wants nothing to do with it anymore. On the other hand, the same lifestyle is becoming a part of his son's life. So now Luis must save his son from a life that he doesn't want for him.
