Dex saw her and waved at her "Want to join me?"
"Nah," Shadow said. "I'm not really a swimming person."
Dex shrugged "Fell free to join when you like" he smiled and went back to swimming
Shadow continued to watch him for a few minutes. "So, do you not have to worry about getting rusty?" she asked on a whim.
Dex smiled "My metal isn't effected by water" he explained "I actually can send electric shocks through it, paralyzingly fish and other creatures inside"
"Oh." Shadow shook her head. "a couple of years ago I would have never believed any of this." She hesitated for a minute before saying, "you know, what the hell." She took off her jeans so they wouldn't weigh her down, and jumped into the water.
Dex chuckled as she jumped into the water "Well you better believe it" he smiled and swam slowly around her
Shadow gasped as she hit the water. "Holy shit, it's cold in here!"
Dex looked at her "Did you expect it to be heated? Of course it's cold!"
Shadow looked at him and rolled her eyes. "Of course I knew it was gonna be cold," she said.
Dex shrugged "then stop complaining and have fun!"
Shadow hadn't ever been very good at having fun. She leaned back and floated on her back in the water.
Dex swam around in the lake, sighing softly
The water wasn't quite as cold after Shadow been in there a while.
Before too long shadow started to get out.
Shadow glanced back at him. "I'm gonna grab something to eat," she said.
"Alright" he smiled and went back to swim
She'd packed some energy bars from her apartment, so she grabbed one and started to eat.
After a while he went out and shook himself to get rid of the water
Shadow finished eating and threw away the wrapper.
"So, I'm gonna get back in business," Shadow said. "Before my reputation gets forgotten." She looked at him to see his reaction.
Dex looked at her blankly "As long as you're the one who's doing illegal things, not me, I'm fine with that"

Shadow shrugged. "Fair enough," she said.
((It's ok ^^ and hey Flora! What brings you here?))Dex nodded and looked around
"If you want me to help you with anything that I can do over here, I'll be glad to help" Dex smiled
"Help out with what, my job?" Shadow asked.
Dex shrugged "with whatever you need help"
"Most of what I do would be considered illegal," shadow replied.
"It would seem," Shadow said. She kept her features stoic. "I don't know where we could find a compromise."
((Oh crap sorry lol. It means they would each give in a little in order to meet at a mid point with what they believe. I'm sorry I'm not real good at explaining things. The dictionary definition lists it as a middle ground between two extremes.))
Shadow nodded. "What sort of jobs would you be more comfortable with me taking?"

"Most humans get jobs in shops and such. I'm not doing that." Shadow told him. "I'll just pick and choose my employers a little more discreetly maybe."
Dex shrugged "you're the boss here. You know better than me about the human's life"
Shadow sighed and looked at him. She stood up and went to get her computer.
Shadow checked her email to see what new jobs there were.
Shadow finished rigging up the alarms and then went outside. She stayed by the house and watched Dex as he swam.
