I'm not surprised that Gaius killed Tobias over Magnus, but what did he mean by Magnus being special?? And I think Lucia is actually the baby from the prologue now. I think it mentioned in the book that Cleo and Lucia are the same age but I don't remember. I can't believe Theon is dead :(( I was starting to like Cleo/Theon. But maybe she somehow healed him idk... Can't wait to see how this ends! (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-4: (view spoiler)[ Okay, I'm really enjoying this so far! I can already tell I'll need the next book once I finish this one! I do not like Aron, he's just an arrogant drunk. He killed that guy for no reason! And trying to talk down the merchant, ugh. Lucia seems nice, and I have a feeling her and Magnus aren't actually related since Sabina brought her to them.. so his feeling aren't actually that weird? Chapter 4

(view spoiler)[ Really like the writing and the mood of this one. I thought I was done with fantasy books for a while but it is not the case, it seems.
There are plenty characters already and my mind is spinning trying to make sense of them. Fortunately they are not hard to remember.

The little bit of mystery is really lovely; I am curious to see who is the stolen baby from the first chapter. I have a guess already.

Aron is a little shit and I dislike him a lot. Hope he will meet karma soon. I also want to see more of Jonas. He seems eager to have his revenge so maybe he can be the karma itself? Hmmm.

I want Cleo not to be so passive. I was super pissed she did nothing when her crazy friend started killing people around.
I quite like Magnus at the moment and I am curious where the love for his sister is going to lead him. Maybe they are not siblings? That would make sense. (hide spoiler)]

I am sure she will find something interesting there. I also hope Emilia is not going to die ... but I do think this is a huge possibility. She doesn't seem well at all.

Lucia is one of my favourites at the moment. I wasn't expecting her to kill Sabina but I am glad she managed to stop her hurting Magnus. Also, I am curious what is going to happen with Alexius. He seems a bit in love with her? Is it just my opinion? I have a feeling he is going to choose to leave his place and be close to her. It would be interesting.

Not sure why king Gaius and the chief thought that king corvin will just back down and let them take his kingdom. Glad Cleo back at least that gives them a fighting chance in him not giving up his kingdom for his daughter. Magus OMG don't what to say about that boy. He kills Theon but also feels bad then go tell his sister.....no not sister that he's in love with her and that they aren't blood and assume she'll just say oh brother lol I love you too. SMH. I feel that this book prepared the perfect atmosphere for what is going to happen next. It's going to be epic!
