Agree. I was very disappointed, while others say it's a great book they have ever read
I thought it was great. I read it in the original language (French is my first language) and I thought it was a thought provoking novel about the superficial character of publicity and the fickle nature of desire. I blame the translator ;)
I really liked the book. Maybe be cuz it was realistic ?
Yeah me too, I read it in Slovenian and I liked it quite alot. I also read another two books of the author and I like his style. Simple, realistic and existential. He is vulgar to some degree (but also depends how soft your soul is, and what vulgar means for you or me). Overall easy book to read.
