My name is Sonja van Breda, I am an Aussie living in NYC, I have been here for 7 years and feel like a New Yorker but with a kick arse Aussie accent.
I am a first time author about to publish my first book. My book is about my recovery from being mentally unstructured, to restructuring to finding a balance between the two and I did it without meds or professionals. Learning how your own mind works and then changing it to function more efficiently without any other help is the most powerful, natural drug.
I look forward to getting to know you through what you have to say, I enjoy the challenge of opinion.
Thank you in advance

I'm Livia. I write dark, modern thrillers and mysteries. The latest one, BOYFRIEND GLASSES is available free for a limited time at my website: www.LiviaHarper.com. Or message me here on Goodreads and I'll send you a copy in the (digital) format of your choice. :)
Loves besides writing & reading: my two stinky basset hounds, photography, swimming, and movies (especially smart thrillers.)
Nice to meet everyone!

So-Lam tales are books aimed for children between 6 to 12 years old. But adults will like them even. Because they are about a fantasy universe that I created for adults at first.
You can visit the www.so-lam.com (there's an english verison, don't worry) and check it out !

As an avid reader all of my life, I decided to try my hand...
What an experience! What a learning curve! So worth it.
Goodreads is such an amazing site, and so many great Groups to choose from. Nice to meet all of you on this literary journey.

So many new people! Welcome everyone!
If you're a reader, feel free to share your reviews in the Reviews by Genre section, or create your own post in the Reviews by Reviewer section.
Authors, make sure you post in Authors and Review Requests, whether it's a single thread all about you and your work, or a post detailing any review copies.
And everyone, do make sure you join in with any challenges. They're great fun, and a good way to widen your reading experiences - I never read horror until last year's Halloween challenge and now I can't get enough.

Robert wrote: "Thanks Cora. Is there a place on Goodreads to post independent reviews of one's work by bloggers or critics? Some do not participate in this opportunity and it would be nice to be able to share as ..."
There isn't in this group, as reviews are the property of the reviewer. We only allow users to post their own reviews. If you post in the Author section about your book, you can link to reviews by other people. But if you want to post the actual review or part of it yourself, I'd suggest contacting the reviewer direct for permission, as a traditional publisher would.
Generally, offering your book as free-for-review will generate reviews for your book page. Asking those reviewers if they would be happy to promote their reviews means it will be seen by a wider audience. Having additional draws like a giveaway also helps hugely.

The first book in my steampunk neo-noir series, The Jacq of Spades, will be available December 1st. It's about a female private eye in a neo-Victorian domed city split by four crime families.
Looking forward to getting to know all of you! :)

So many stories, I think publishing a set together is a great idea, have you also put out the individual volumes as ebooks yet?

just came into my mind that you could be interested in using the Full Circle in your work. How different people finish a same sketch-kind of -thing. Or perhaps that's more in the art therapy direction..just throwing ideas..
