Sonja van Breda (sonjadawn) | 1 comments Hello Goodreaders,

My name is Sonja van Breda, I am an Aussie living in NYC, I have been here for 7 years and feel like a New Yorker but with a kick arse Aussie accent.

I am a first time author about to publish my first book. My book is about my recovery from being mentally unstructured, to restructuring to finding a balance between the two and I did it without meds or professionals. Learning how your own mind works and then changing it to function more efficiently without any other help is the most powerful, natural drug.

I look forward to getting to know you through what you have to say, I enjoy the challenge of opinion.

Thank you in advance

Loves besides writing & reading: my two stinky basset hounds, photography, swimming, and movies (especially smart thrillers.)

Nice to meet everyone!

So-Lam tales are books aimed for children between 6 to 12 years old. But adults will like them even. Because they are about a fantasy universe that I created for adults at first.

So many new people! Welcome everyone!

If you're a reader, feel free to share your reviews in the Reviews by Genre section, or create your own post in the Reviews by Reviewer section.

Authors, make sure you post in Authors and Review Requests, whether it's a single thread all about you and your work, or a post detailing any review copies.

And everyone, do make sure you join in with any challenges. They're great fun, and a good way to widen your reading experiences - I never read horror until last year's Halloween challenge and now I can't get enough.

message 172: by Robert (new)

Robert Eggleton | 27 comments Thanks Cora. Is there a place on Goodreads to post independent reviews of one's work by bloggers or critics? Some do not participate in this opportunity and it would be nice to be able to share as wide a diversity of opinion as becomes available.

Thanks again.

Arkopaul Das | 3 comments Hi, everyone , I'm Arkopaul and I am looking for reviews. I have some books, but I want reviews for the book called 'INSOMNIAC' which is a crime thriller.
Here's the sypnosis -
NYPD Homicide Detective Alan Smith comes back from a Washington after a long time and instantly gets involved in a ongoing investigation about a man who was strangled in his own car. The victim worked as a reporter and now his partner have also gone missing. As Alan starts digging deeper and finds out that his partner had a motive to kill the man.But on the other hand someone was threatening him too, wanting somethng form him that he's not willing to give. And now he’s also murdered. Alan tries to break through all his suspects just to stumble upon the biggest criminal boss New York City.
Will it be that easy confronting the most wanted man of NY City ? .
But when he discovers that a life of a child is also involved with the case , he knew the murder is just the least of his worries.
A fast paced, breath taking thriller, through the burning streets of New York City, that you will leave you wanting more.
It's available on amazon for you to buy, or if you want a digital copy of the book then you can email me at markopauldas@gmail.com and I will give you a pdf/ mobi/ or epub version of the book.

There isn't in this group, as reviews are the property of the reviewer. We only allow users to post their own reviews. If you post in the Author section about your book, you can link to reviews by other people. But if you want to post the actual review or part of it yourself, I'd suggest contacting the reviewer direct for permission, as a traditional publisher would.

Generally, offering your book as free-for-review will generate reviews for your book page. Asking those reviewers if they would be happy to promote their reviews means it will be seen by a wider audience. Having additional draws like a giveaway also helps hugely.

Shoshana Hathaway | 1 comments Hi, I’m Shoshana. Reading has been a huge part of my life ever since I can remember, and, fairly recently, I learned that I also love not just to read, but to talk and write about books. I enjoy reading, thinking about, and then reviewing books in the genres I like, (mystery, thriller, history/historical fiction, SF, some fantasy, and whatever happens to strike my fancy). Delighted to have found Goodreads, having a grand time, and my want to read list is growing like a very healthy weed!
