Hahaha, I love that one, and eragon as well. Of fantasy movies, those are my favs (after LOTR)

oh ok. I've never read the Inheritance cycle but I liked the Eragon movie.
Hahaha, the books are Waaaaay better. The movie is awesome, but it missed most of the point from the book.
When I see a movie with bad reviews, I'll probably like that movie unless it's just utter garbage with no excuse. But I'll probably also like most movies that are well recieved. I'm a movie freak. I have my own shelf with 2 disc special editions, directors cuts, slipcovers. On my shelf, I have a front row of movies and a back row. I don't even know where to put some movies sometimes

No! But I really want to! I'll be the first to admit. My level of interest significantly dropped when I found out about the magic boyfriend maker.
Eh, that's nothing that really matters in the movie though. I have to say... Of any animated movie, that's my favorite. Not genre speaking, that ones surely gahoole, but in animation generally speaking it's inside out.
So of all the ga'hoole books, which did you think was the best?
Mmm, I'd say... The river of wind, but I also liked the war of the ember. Most are awesome, though.
Is the war of the ember like the return of the king? Like the end, all out war epic battle type stuff that decides the future of the kingdoms?

I am so angry right now. I found out that there's an book specifically about the art of the movie and I can't find it anywhere. I know it exists because I've seen multiple pictures of it. I just can't find it being sold used anywhere.
Oh great. It's not on ebay. It's out of stock on Amazon. This means I'll have to wait 12 weeks to get it.
I have a MAJOR SPOILER question. Is Soren dead by the time the War of the Ember comes around? Or does he die in it? If so who else dies. Anyone else in the band? I just want to know what I'm in for.

Well, Soren doesn't die, at least from what I remember. It's been a while since I read them. I don't remember he died, which is the most probable thing. Who else dies? Well, ezylrib is dead.
Do the later books focus more on different characters than Soren and the band?
From what you remember, does the storyline get complicated and hard to follow? I'm looking the series up and I see all these things about Strix Strama, The Sriga. Does it get hard to follow?

No idea. People just didn't do much, I suppose. In fact, the mods may even be gone.
Now I see why these things go dead. I'm trying to make a really large detailed map of Ga'hoole plus Beyond the Beyond. Do you think I should go through with it?

Am I the only one fascinated by fictional worlds? I see these maps of Middle Earth, Narnia, Ga'hoole and I just want to keep seeing more. I will actually look up places on these maps I never knew existed and I will see pictures and say, "Dang. Why didn't they show this in the movies?"
Like, I was looking up maps of Middle Earth and I found all these places never in either The Lord of the Rings nor the Hobbit trilogies.
They generally do appear somewhere. Like, lotr most do appear in the silmarillion. In narnda, all calormen and the small kingdom in the middle of narnda and calormen appear too.
I have a book with all the lotr lore and explains it.

It's just that I have lost interest in this group, since it's been such a long time since I read the series, and I have become interested in other things. Okay, it's been a long time since I have discussed something Ga'Hoole related! I am going to bring up the topic of an item I have which may be of interest. Last year, I wrote Kathryn Lasky, the author of Guardians of Ga'Hoole, a very long fan letter. One of the questions I asked her was about where did the Others go. A few months later, I was excited to recieve a reply letter from her! She gave a short, simple answer to my main question-if you would like to see a photo of this letter I can provide the link here.

I made King Boron in my art class and I think I might start construction of the map soon.
I have a question. When it refers to the "Others" us the humans, it says we don't exist anymore. Are we dead when these books take place? And also it says we haven't existed since the "First Glaux" whenever that may be. If we have been dead for that long how are churches and barns still even standing and supporting themselves?
