Here's some Goodreads HTML that is easy and can be used in this group. Such as for appearances for your character, or emphasizing a phrase for those who don't know how to.

Pictures:

There are two ways or doing pictures.

Here's the first and easiest:
<.img src.="source"/.> (without any dots)

Then there's the one for changing the sizes if you're in need of that.
<.img src.="source". width="number". height="number"./> (without any dots)

Remove all periods.

Bolding: <.b> ___ <./b>
Italics: <.i> ____ <./i>
Underlining: <.u> ____ <./u>

Typerwriter, exact spacing: <.pre> ____ <./pre> 

Strike: <.s> ____ <./s>

Get-the-text-centered/ Blockquote <.blockquote> ____ <./blockquote>

If it's the ending of the comment, you don't need the <./>.
