yay! I know! I can't wait to see what you think!!

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments Finally I got through chapter 30 and read your spoilers. I had the same thoughts. I was TICKED at Juneau because why save him if she wasn't going to help him grow and use him and trust him?

I was SO HAPPY to "watch" Miles use his own knowledge of video gaming to strategize. I was really happy how confident he grew, even when practicing his crossbow he found confidence.

Gosh, I hope that the two don't run smack into each other on a collision course coming from two opposite ends! But I think Miles might be able to Read her and it'll work out.

I agree about Whit. I NEVER trusted a word he said. It did seem odd that he was suddenly right there and he had all these explanations, but Juneau knew he wasn't totally truthful. WHY would she go alone??? Miles wants so badly to be helpful. I really hope HE is the hero!

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments Finished Ch. 40 and agree with all your spoilers. Omg Miles is freaking me out! Lol But he definitely is gutsy and willing to do whatever to get Juneau safe.

Daisy, OMG! Anyone that can do that is EVIL!!!

I feel pretty sure that somehow Miles will save Juneau and they'll save the clan.

I hadn't even thought that Whit might have poisoned Avery.

Amanda | 4527 comments Glad to see that you guys enjoyed this one :)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments Finished last night but too tired to post! Lol

I also loved the ending! For one thing I was glad to see Avery get what was coming to him. How appropriate was that? LOL

I am with you in that, if I understand you correctly, the absolute best part of this book was to see the growth of Miles and to watch them become the leader that you and I knew he could be. LOL To watch him gain confidence and to step into the leadership role and do a commendable job was satisfying for me.

Juneau grew to really respect Miles because by leaving him behind he had some choices to make as well. And he chose to go to help her and her people and to do what he needed to do as a leader. I love how he didn't hesitate. I was also glad to see Juneau make up with her dad, but I was a little bit sad that there was no reconciliation between Miles and his father. His dad was one of the biggest dirt bags in my opinion! So I understand why.

I loved how everyone got to make their own choices in the end. After all it's all about free choice. No one wants that taken away!

Trisha | 30284 comments YES! too true, I loved how Avery got what he deserved too! I'm glad that Whit didn't end up poisoning - he poisoned himself just by taking the Amrit - because not just anyone can take it.

Loved it! So glad you did too!! yay!

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments He was just really smart to use his own knowledge!!

Off the subject but please pray or do whatever you do! Priscilla, the 14 year old daughter of a youth pastor in Tracy (our next city over) went missing Thursday. The police are now calling it an abduction.

Trisha | 30284 comments oh no!!! :(
Do they have any leads? any idea who abducted her (friends, family?)

I'm so sorry Vicki. sending prayers for a quick safe find!

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments I don't know details. I know they are getting a search party going and asking people to get it out to social media so I posted on FB. There are a couple pics of her there. So sad and scary!!! If/when I know more I'll let you know.

Thanks, Amanda, it's such a tragedy. People are out helping passing out flyers. I fell helpless bing here on vacation in Oregon, BUT I know the best thing I can do anyway is to pray for her safe return.
