Calie- This month I recommend Dead of Winter by Kresley Cole. I love the world that Cole paints in this ashy, post-apocalyptic scene. After a huge Flash wipes out most of the population, and turning some into “bag men”, the remaining populace must survive in treacherous conditions. Of these remaining humans are kids who are the tarot cards personified. They have special powers and they are playing a “game” of survival. The last one gets to live until the next game which could be thousands of years from now.
