Mike (mikewellsauthor) | 2 comments Hi Rick and fellow members.

I'm an an American thriller author and also teach in the Creative Writing Program at University of Oxford. I'm currently formatting most of my work to ebook format, and also am in the process of turning my book "Wild Child" into a series. This novella has a rather interesting publication history--after self-publishing it, I threw all 3,000 copies in the trash, and someone pulled the copies out of the trash and started selling them on Amazon!

My blog about Wild Child and the new series is at:
http://www.thegreenwater.com/

I'm typically a voracious reader but at the moment, between writing and marketing my books, there's not much time left for anything else but sleep! I posted couple of hundred reviews on my bookshelf here (mostly my favorite books) and will slowly be filling in the text as time permits.

Nice to meet all of you!

Mike

Sorry I haven't checked in for a while. Looks like the group is bigger than ever. You do good work.

Aimee Laine (aimee_laine) | 5 comments Hi! So I'm introduction number 8,234,643, right? ;) Just kidding of course. But, I was invited, so here I am!

My debut novel, Little White Lies is set to release this July (2011!). It's a paranormal romance with loads of cool shape-shifters. Okay, *I* think they are super cool.

Other than that, I'm a book-lover, Mom, Wife, Full-time workerbee and all around lover of words!

Thanks for the invite and the opportunity to be here!

Ted Krever | 4 comments Hi, I'm Ted Krever, a lifelong reader and writer. I'm reading The Collected Stories of Grace Paley and a thriller called Depths of Deception, an ebook by Ian Fraser at the moment (I'm dipping in and out of Grace's wonderful stories).
I have five books up as ebooks but the two best are Green, a comic novel about love and friendship (why they aren't the same), Ireland, sex and horses, and
Mindbenders, a thriller about the cream of the Soviet mind control program, now living in the US and battling an international conspiracy to subvert Truth, Justice and the American Way. Or words to that effect.
I've always liked James Mason--North by Northwest is one of my very favorite films, he was wonderful in Lolita and many others. But when I saw a mention of Mischa Auer, I knew this was the place for me. One of the great character actors--great moments in 'My Man Godfrey' and 'Destry Rides Again' (as the Russian cowboy).
Glad to meet everyone.

welcome Ted- so great to see other Mischa Fans- I first became a fan of his when I was quite young- saw him in his final film- THE CHRISTMAS THATALMOST WASNT-and keptpronouncing his name wrong- my Uncle told me I must me Mischa Auer- went to library to look him up and found that he was a great character star in the 1930's to 40's - that was almost 30 years ago!- and that is what got me "into" old films and mainly character actors- SZ Sakall, Edw Everett Horton, Ed Brophy, Thelma Ritter, to name a few- I have an autographed pic of Mischa hanging in my room- James Mason has been a favorite actor of mine since 1978- when I saw him in Heaven Can Wait- I was 10 years old - and he remains my favorite actor.

Branch Isole (voyeuristicpoet) Greetings to One and All,
Thank you Rick for the invitation to join the group. My name is Branch Isole, I am the Voyeuristic Poet.
My genres are poetry, spirituality and sexuality. I write for adults, about adult issues and emotions.

Currently two of my books (one non fiction, one fiction) are listed in the GR Giveaway Program, please feel free to enter to win a signed and personalized copy.
http://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sho...
http://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sho...

After years of rejection from agents and publishers I decided to learn the steps necessary to self publish and have since authored and published nineteen books(available from the usual suspects; Amazon, B&N, etc.)
All the titles in my catalogue are available in PC and ebook formats. Each is born as a paperback when the cover design is finalized.

While most people shy away from poetry, my works are more short stories of reader identity and reflection of common experiences adults are entangled by. Some of my pieces the reader will like, while others may be offended or angry, so be it. My job as a writer is to encourage my readers "to look out, to see in". That's Voyeurism Poetry.

Many writers posit of things known or experienced, I comment on those seen and heard.

K.A. (kamlady) | 1 comments Hello. My name is K.A. M'Lady and I am a U.S. author of paranormal/fantasy/gothic romance and poetry. I'd like to thank Rick for the invite - I hope to find the time to wander all of the various postings and get to know some of you.

I live near Chicago with my family and my pocket beagle - Chevy. I just completed the final edits on my next 3 installments to my Faith Savage Demon Huntress novella series and am neck deep in 4 wips that I hope to have finalized by year end.

I'm currently reading Bk 11 of the Sookie Stackhouse series by Ms. Harris - I'm a bit bummed since I'm a huge fan of True Blood as the show seems to be ruining my story for me - the characters are now the tv show characters and it's messing me up but I still love them both.

I'm a huge fan of paranormal romance, poetry and a complete research nerd of anything historical, religious or mythological. I also am currently the co-owner of the paranormal group Just Another Paranormal Monday.

Wishing you all my best ~
K.

Edd Voss | 3 comments Tales from the imagination of a modern day drifter.
The past twenty years have taken me over two million miles behind the wheel of a big truck. I have seen things that just made ask a lot of questions.
Why is there a monument to a Greek/Syrian camel driver in Quartzsite AZ?
How did these semi precious stones become known as Apache Tears.
So I did some digging and found some answers that left me wanting more. The results can be found in my collection of short stories, Rambling. http://www.amazon.com/Rambling-Edd-Vo...

I'm C.C.Cole, medieval dark fantasy author of the Gastar Series of novellas, 2 out of 4 completed presently. My lead character Shevata is popular amongst many readers, as a very strong female lead. I do review short stories/novellas/classics especially for new Indie authors. I'm reading "Freedom" by Jonathan Franzen and "The Prince" by Niccolo Machiavelli. The latter is a great inspiration for my 3rd novella. Any reviewers/readers interested in my novellas let me know; Shevata is up for most memorable female assassin protagonist on GR!

I am asking for your support----I am creating a scholarship to aid a student who has End Stage Renal Disease, who is on dialysis, or who has had a kidney transplant and attends the community college where I work. Kidney disease runs in my family, and I want to do something to give back to my community, and this project is my way of doing that. I am asking for your support.

To support this cause, you can purchase a copy of my short story collection Trouble Down South and Other Stories for $2.99 as an Ebook on Amazon.

If you don't have a Kindle, you can purchase a printed copy for $15.00 from Amazon.

A percentage of the proceeds from these sales will be used to set up this scholarship.

The scholarship event will run from May 20, 2011 through May 27, 2011.

My goal is to receive 300 or more sales of the short story collection to get the scholarship started.
