Claudia Moscovici (goodreadscomclaudiamoscovici) Rick, thank you so much for inviting me to your book club! Like many of your readers, I like to read books in many genres. My favorites are psychological fiction and historical fiction. In fact, for anyone interested in this genre, my first novel, Velvet Totalitarianism, is about life in communist Romania under the Ceausescu regime. My publisher gave me several complimentary copies of this book for review, so if any of you might be interested in reading and reviewing it on goodreads, please let me know. Here's more information about it:

Liz Fichera (lizfichera) Thanks, Rick, for the kind invitation to join your group. I'm Liz. I'm a writer from the American Southwest, home of cowboys, cactus, and rodeos. I'm a voracious reader who likes to read across genres. I read mostly fiction and am particularly fond of historicals and stories with Native American characters. I do read some nonfiction when the mood strikes too. :-)

John (jaymack) | 10 comments Hello all! Thanks to Rick for inviting me. I'm an avid reader and writer, and I've been this way all my life. I will read absolutely ANYTHING, and my writing has spanned a multitude of styles and genres in a long freelance career. I have two ebooks on Amazon, 13 Horror Stories, and The Christmas Gift. You can see them on my author page at Amazon, which also has links to my humor and writing blogs. My reading taste, as noted, is wide-ranging. I'm currently mad about P.G. Wodehouse, but I also like Frank O'Connor, Flannery O'Connor, Stephen King, Mavis Gallant, John Updike, and a thousand other authors.

Alain Gomez | 2 comments My name is Alain and I was invited to join this group by the extremely dynamic moderator, Rick.

Intrigued by the sheer number of members and active threads (as opposed to the usual 6 hours between replies here on goodreads), I decided to join.

I enjoy a wide range of books but have a particular weakness for British Literature and short stories with twisted endings.

Harry Smith (1923amemoir) | 10 comments Thanks! It is a very compelling family saga which has the cruel, backdrop of both the great depression and second world war. I wanted to recapture those moments of my youth which were so difficult to endure but shaped the man I am now. It was not an easy story to write, but I am pleased that I can share my history and my life with others.

Ike Rose | 12 comments Thanks for inviting me, Rick.

I'm Ike Rose, a new author. I just had my first release as part of the anthology "My Sexy Valentine". I also posted a short story on my author's page here today, but it is atypical of my more romantic and usually homoerotic style.

I will be interviewed on Dawn Roberto's Dawn's Reading Nook Blog on Sunday 2/13 (http://lovesbooksandmore.blogspot.com/) and I comment there that I read ANYTHING - even the back of cereal boxes. You can actually read there about how I became such a voracious reader.

I also have a blog about becoming a writer: http://www.ikerose.com Come over and visit - lately I've been using the "blog this" button on Chrome (an add-on) to add interesting tid-bits and promotional info to the site.

No one warned me that e-publishing means spending all your time pimping your book - when am I supposed to write my NEXT one??

Off to write a guest blog for my co-author Daisy Harris (http://www.thedaisyharris.com/) Her story "Cupid's Arrow" is worth the price of our entire anthology - it's FUNNY!!!!

Then I'm off to write a fan-mail to my NIFTY fans...

See what I mean??

J.E. Taylor (jetaylor) Rick, thank you for bringing this group to my attention. Folks, my name is J.E. Taylor and I'm an indie author of several thrillers both on the spicy erotic side of the fence and on the mainstream side. My short stories run from the spicy shorts to some more creepy and scary stories. I also love to read - my tastes run from Steven King to Danielle Steele and back. Lately, I've been picking up some more obscure books, like newcomer Allison Pang and Mel Comley as well as YA author A.S. King.
So it will be wonderful to learn what you all are reading.
