PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO YOUR FELLOW JAMES MASON MEMBERS!
Thank you Rick, for letting me join your group. I am Robin, from Hawaii, an avid reader of Victorian, Mysteries, fiction mostly and Dickens as well. I am learning alot from being on the various groups here at Goodreads.
Hey Robbin! Imm going to Hawaii this summer and I love Dickens too!
Enjoy your time in Hawaii. It is a beautiful place if I do say so myself. Which Dickens do you like?
Hmm A Christmas Carol and Oliver Twist I'm going to read A tale of two cities
Haven't read A Christmas Carol or Oliver Twist, loved the musical Oliver with Mark Wild, seen eons ago. Haven't read Tale of Two Cities, either. Have Great Expectations and David Copperfield to tackle next.

Hi all, thanks for the invite to the group. Just a quick introduction to little ol' me - I lost my passion for books a few years ago, taken away by the lure of exciting tv drama but I have regained my interest for reading!I began reviewing books in August and haven't looked back reviewing 70 books in the last few months of 2010. Anyone who'd like to say hello please do so, you'll receive a toasty welcome!!!
Happy new Year everyone.

hi everyone, and here's to a great 2011.i joined a little while ago but haven't managed to make the time to say hi, so thought i'd use this quiet sunday evening to do so - before the new BBC adaptation of Michael Dibdin's Aurelio Zen comes on at nine o'clock.
I'm an avid and omnivorous reader - when I was younger I used to say I'd read anything with print on it, but then realised that life is too short for bad books when there are so many good ones out there. My first love is SF, but also like detective fiction and various non fiction, particularly science, history and sociology. And after avoiding it for many years I've even begun to enjoy some of that stuff that is called 'literature'.
Hi I am new to this group - thank you Rick for the invite. As with all the groups I join, I look to find and read books I would otherwise never have heard of. Having someone to discuss or compare a book with is also important to me. Hope everyone has had a Happy and healthy beginning of the New Year with lots of reading to come!!!

Hi My name is Simon and i'm from Perth, Western Australia. This group caught my eye because I loved James Mason's work and any book club inspired by him is alright with me!
I have no huge preference in books, this is something i've actually changed recently after I outgrew my focus on purely science fiction and fantasy. Now my goal is to read as widely as i can, the only other goal i have reading wise is to read all the "important" books and to read as many "classics" as i can.
Anyway, thanks for reading and i look forward to chatting with you all!
Simon

Hello Rick. Thank you for letting me know about this group and offering an invitation. I am the author of Rendezvous Rock. It is a fantasy/drama, and I have a book trailer for it on my Goodreads author page. I'm not your run-of-the-mill author. I'm not proud to say it, but this book was actually written while I was in prison. Anyone interested can read about the circumstances of my incarceration on my author page as well. I am very pleased to say that I am a free man now and have changed my life 100% for the better. Sadly, sometimes it takes drastic things to make us change. While in prison, I wrote 6 manuscripts and hope to get the rest published soon. I am also an avid reader, reading a wide variety of genres. I am presently reading other Oklahoma authors' books. - Rickey Bray

Hello all, I am Alan. A retiring geriatric psychiatrist who has only recently discovered Scandinavian thrillers.
Thanks for the invite, Rick. I love reading. Writng and I enjoy James Mason films, too, especially with his distinctive voice. I'd love to capture the uniqueness of his voice in the various characters that I create. Then every character would be memorable.

Thanks for the invite, Rick! It seems like a fun and engaging group. As with everyone else I'm a big reader and like many an aspiring author (I did NaNoWriMo this year, and managed to successfully finish, so I'm going to continue working on that first draft).

I am Carol, living in the UK, a busy mum of 3. I plan to return to work when my toddler gets to school, so for now books keep my grey matter going.
I like a mixed bag of reading including modern fiction, historical fiction, classics, USA fiction, and chick lit.
Looking forward to finding my way around the group and joining in with the discussions.

Hi everyone! I've been a member of the group for a while, but this is the first time I've actually posted. I'm a senior in college and spend pretty much all of my time reading. I'm also interested in the publishing industry and spent some of this past summer editing a manuscript (not my own, though I would like to write as well).
I just received my 3rd notice to introduce myself, even though I did already about 3 pages ago. ha ha So here goes, again.Hi, My name is Judith or Judi and I joined Goodreads for little over a year. I have been active since around May, 2010. Thank you Rick for inviting and introducing me to this book club.
I live outside of Buffalo, NY, but moved here from Atlanta. Having been raised in the North I feel like I have finally "come home". We love it here because we have beautiful summers and cold but beautiful winters.
I love all books and I'm open to all genres but I particularly like historical fiction, mystery thrillers, Chinese, Russian and English literature. I'm not overly fond of of sci/fi but I do do like some Stephen King. Right now, I'm just finishing up Cutting for Stone and Full Dark, No Stars, on CD. I have just discovered Kate Morton and I love her three books that she has out, The House at Riverton, The Forgotten Garden, (my favorite, so far) and The Distant Hours. I know I will enjoy this book club.
Hello, all. thank you, Rick, for the invitation to join. I'm glad to be part of this group. My name is Holly Weiss and am an avid reader, reviewer of new releases and author of Crestmont, which has just been released in Kindle. My main reading interest is historical fiction. In my spare time (my other job!) I teach private voice. You can find out more about me at http://www.hollyweiss.com.
