Hi everyone :) My name's Amanda and I read just about everything fiction and nonfiction thought I do lean toward horror, fantasy and drama most of the time. Hopefully I can contribute to your discussions here.
Hello Rick and everyone. Thanks for the invite. I would like to say I admire all you talented authors here. I'm an avid reader, I make my living as an artist....portraits, caricatures and hand cut silhouettes. Nice to meet you all!Peace

Thanks for the invitation, Rick, and hi everyone. I'm Debra, a hockey-loving Canadian (Canucks fan), which pretty much makes me a cliche, I guess. But I also write mysteries, and I have a new book coming out from TouchWood Editions in March. I'm an avid reader and I review everything I read because I really enjoy it. I also write two blogs a week, one about the writing life and one about white-collar crime issues.Fatal Encryption

Just wanted to thank Rick for the invitation. I'm a British author and avid reader of most genres, but normally thrillers, crime or historical non-fiction. I have far, far, too many books and really need to sell a few since I've run out of space for more shelves. My first novel, Fire Season, is an aviation adventure and has just had a small press release in the UK. I'm new to Goodreads but (in between nervously checking reviews) I hope to contribute to the group.

Thank you very much for the invite. I am always looking for fellow readers to chat with about books or life in general.
Hey, thanks for the invite! My name is Jewel. I'm an author and a very voracious reader. Glad to be a part of the group:-)
Hello everyone and Rick, thanks for the invite! I have been an avid reader since age four and while I am nearing ten times that age, I still love to read. My favorite novels tend to be historical fiction, but I like some sci fi/paranormal stuff as well. I try to read 1 non fiction for every 10 fiction books I read - up next is "Assassination Vacation" by Karen Vowell. Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Rick, thank you for the invite to join the group. Reading is my passion and it is evident I am among those of like passion. I feel as one who has made an amazing discovery that needs to be shared with the world. A huge hello to everyone at James Mason! My reading tastes are diverse: fiction—all genres—biographies, science, theology, whatever catches my interest, and at times I may be reading three or four books (I noticed there are a few bibliophiles who enjoy multi-tasking here). I have also authored a novel, “A Handful of Dust.” I look forward to enjoyable moments spent with all of you here at James Mason. Thanks!
I just joined this group. I am currently reading The Grimm Fairy Tales on my Kobo eReader along with a few other books. I look forward to getting to know everyone

Hello all. Thanks for the invitation. I've always been an avid reader and read just about anything I can get my hands on but I have a soft spot for fantasy (Robert Jordan) and British and Historical fiction. Looking forward to some interesting discussions!!
Hi Everyone, and thanks, Rick, for inviting me to this group. It looks like a lot of active discussions go on here. I write historical fiction, and love to read, especially historical fiction by Penman, Erickson, and lots of other great authors. It can be set anywhere, anytime, as long as it's good writing and transports me to another world. I'm looking forward to joining some discussions.

Hi Rick, been away for a long weekend to a '60's festival, great time, it is amazing how the old bands keep going, and boy can they rock!! My head is still spinning, whether it was the bass or the booze, who knows?
One thing which will amuse you, I'd only been there about half an hour and this lady rushed up to me, 'You're Timothy Pilgrim'. I confirmed that was the name I write my books under. 'I loved 'The day the Ravens died' it made me cry!!! had I got a new one out yet?' I have done a couple of book signings at that holiday camp, but I'm darned if I can remember her. I am pretty good as a rule remembering faces. The other thing she said was she hated 'action thriller type things, especially terrorist books, yet she loved 'ravens' and said 'Paul' should be Prime minister in the next one, she is the second person who has said that!!
I'm off to bed to sleep off the confusion.

Hi Emily,Welcome to the 'mad house' from one of the semi resident 'indie' nutters! brown or re[a]d sauce on your books or maybe you're a pickle person?
And for Sheila, you must have been hiding somewhere good to have been away sooooo long.

Hey all, thanks Rick for inviting me. Though I write, I don't really talk about it on here. Goodreads is a place for books and I love me a good book...in Fantasy or Science Fiction (though I can indulge in other genres too :) ). So, again, Thanks Rick!

Hi, everyone. I'm an avid reader of almost anything but westerns and romances. I'm a published short story writer and an aspiring novelist. I watch a lot of films, though lately I'm addicted to The History Detectives on PBS. I'm a high school English teacher (though I promise not to correct anyone's spelling or grammar here) and there are so many cool topics to respond to on James Mason that I've already set a strict half hour per night limit on myself. Thanks, Rick, for inviting me.
Hi, Steven! A half hour time limit ... hmmmm ... I'd never make it! LOL Welcome! This is an awesome group.
Hi Steven, half an hour! you're hoping! You are either a quick reader or lightning fast on the key board!! Welcome to the mad house!
All the best Paul Rix [oldgeezer]
Hello all! I'm an author and very interested in meeting other writers and readers who share my love of books. Though I write mainly paranormal romance, I've found myself pushing the boundaries as of late, by reading genres I'd never explored before. I must say that I'm thrilled with what I've found. So very glad to be here!

I've always loved books from the time I was a little tyke. What it says on my shelves isn't even 1/8 of what I love and have read. Always with a book, like Chef Alex.
When I'm in a mood to 'hole up' with a good book, I often find myself reading Dickens, Jane Austen, something Victorian. Or, in a different mood, the book could be a Ken Follett thriller.
Happy upcoming Holidays everyone! Check out my twitter page; I'm @Bookmark_Terry
