Hello everyone. I am a Christian based fiction writer. Currently have one book, The Goblet, published. Second book is done and I am working on my third book. Please check out my website at www.sylviapatzold.com.
I also am grateful for the invitation. Love to read Janet Evanovich, love to knit and crochet and also own the most beautiful mare in the world, Gizmo.
Hello Everyone,My is Matthew George and I would like to recommend my new book "When the Cows Come Home". The kindle edition is FREE this weekend. What would you be willing to do in order to maintain your way of life? How many lives would you be willing to destroy to provide for the ones you love? Andrew Daniels is a seemingly normal man from central Kansas who is about to lose everything he has worked for in life. Forced into action by necessity, Daniels devises a scheme to save his family ranch, and in the process, begins to lose sight of what's really important. "When the Cows Come Home" will make readers wonder what secrets your own neighbors keep in their basements, and how far a normal person would go to save their version of the American dream.

All I need now is for someone to say they enjoy my writing and i will be a happy woman. ThanksJulie
Thank you so much Rick for the invitation. I write mysteries/romantic suspense (heavier on the suspense/mystery part I think) as B.J. Daniels. I love to read, love discussions about books and am delighted to be invited to join this group. Like Alex, I never find myself without a book, so I'm either writing or reading. You can learn more about me at www.bjdaniels.comSorry it's taken me so long to get here.

Hi there, My name is Cliff Roberts and yes I am author. I have currently five books on the market four novels and reference. The four Novels are Reprisal! The Eagle Rises, Reprisal! The Gauntlet!, Fatal Mistake, and Nevwas's Gold. I've tried very hard to get real and honest reviews and I think I have. So I guess you can say I'm doing very well. Lots of great reviews except for regarding my first release, Reprisal! the Eagle Rises, I had some editing issues But I'm getting the book reedited as I write. The reference Book is titled: What the writer said! It is a book of quotes that will provide a handy resource for writing speeches, essays and novels.I've been writing for about... well almost eight years. I've had and canceled three publishing contracts due to the publisher blatantly breaking their own contract and treating me like I was nothing.
I live in the USA, eastern Tennessee in the shadow of the Great Smoky Mountains, But I haven't always lived here. I was raised I Dearborn and Manchester MI, I've lived in Maine, California, Texas, Florida and now Tennessee.
I am married with two great daughters and six terrific grand kids, along with a couple of son-in-laws too I guess. When I not writing or promoting my books I do a lot of different things from wood working to photography, traveling, watching movies of all types, to reading and antiquing. I am also a history buff and watch the history channel quite often.
I have several books in the line for release and quite a few past the first draft stage I'm hoping too release over the next couple of years. Of course, I will mostly release newly written books along the way as well as several more quotes books. Did I mention I like quotes-Oh yeah. I'll concluded with a few after I give you a very brief employment background on me.
I've been a business owner, a home builder, truck driver, insurance salesman, real estate agent, General construction contractor, kitchen and bath remodeler, a politician, though I'm now reformed. and I've done lots of sales jobs but was only recognized for outstanding achievement in two field, pre-owned Mobile homes and roofing contracting. See It wasn't that bad. I was able to stop the speech in reasonable amount of time. Usually when asked to speak I shoot for about five minutes which politician time equals a half hour. So to concluded here are a couple of my quotes pertaining to writing:
"Books---It's what God intended to fill the space between your ears!"
"Write what you know, write it with passion-set the world on fire with your dreams!"
“The most successful people in life are those who are good at plan B or in my case plan C, D, E, F, or G.”
Well, I hope that helps you to know me better and eventually I'll get to know you too.

I don't know if I should be here or not this is the third try to post a blurb about me. The two I managed to delete rather than post. this site has been an amazingly difficult site for me to work on. Yes I am not very computer savvy still after more the fifteen years of trying to operate one. for me its a gloried typewriter. Yes I know some of you don't know what a typewriter is and that's okay cause I haven't a clue about running an excel program or making a video or apparently even inputting a simple blurb about myself. I'll be making this short and sweet, with updates as we go along. I'm sure how many characters this blurb is allowed but I know the last two attempts left only about 500 to go. So I tried and I'm not going to through that all again. here's the prepared short version of it all.I grew up in suburban Detroit and has since lived in several different states. From Maine to California to Texas to Florida to Tennessee, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to experience a wide spectrum of American life. I have worked as many different careers as he has places he’s lived. I’ve been an employee, business owner, award winning salesman in two fields, a Politian and now an author. For a short time, I had the privilege to serve as the Township Supervisor/Safety Director in my adopted hometown in Michigan, where I had a successful career running a local refuse company and was elected to the post in the early nineteen nineties.
I married to my sweetheart, Donna and between us we have two daughters and six grandchildren. When I’m not writing, I’m busy exploring the mountains or painting one of a kind artwork or taking spectacular landscape photos which I’ve been known to sell along with other artwork at local flea markets and fairs.
With my foray into being a published author, I’m once again opening a new chapter in my life. I’ve reinvented himself several times as life has presented new challenges and writing is the latest and the greatest reinvention yet. I likes quotes and a couple of my favorites are;
“The most successful people in life are those who are good at plan B or in my case plan C, D, E, F, or G.” and
“Success is the river of life. Perseverance is the boat you sail upon it.”
Of course I wrote them both.
I’m a former business owner, award winning salesman, reformed politician and now
an author!
“The most successful people in life are those who are good at plan B
or in my case plan C, D, E, F, or G.”
My entire life I’ve had to continually reinvent myself time and again. With each new challenge, I’ve had to discover a new strength within myself to help me move on with life despite the circumstances that I’ve faced. It wasn’t always easy, but then, if success was easy everybody would be successful.
In conclusion, I've a couple of quotes you may like,
Books-What God Intended to fill the space between your ears!
Write what you know, write it with passion and set the world on fire with your dreams.
Here goes the third try maybe its the charm.,
Author Cliff Roberts
Hello, I'm an avid reader and new (to the public, I've been writing for almost two decades...) fiction author. My writing right now is mostly fantasy. My novella "The Girl With No Name" has been out on Kindle since the end of May, and I have a hardback novel "Seventh Night" due out in November. The two are related but don't need to be read in order.I read a bit of everything but mostly classics and children's books. I prefer clean fantasy. If I want gritty realism, I watch the news or read history books.
I have over 70 books literally on my "to read" pile...so I tend to shake my head at book recommendations...at least until I reduce the pile.
Anyway, I bring gifts. My novella is new to Smashwords, and I want to spread the word and generate some reviews, so here's a coupon code for a free download, good through September 20th: WQ67S
Here is the book: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...
Please read and review.
I just found this group via Rick's post on Linkedin. Glad to join. Thanks, Rick. I'm a professor and author of 9 nonfiction books, the latest trade (rather than academic ones) are on politics at work (The Secret Handshake and It's All Politics) and Comebacks at Work for knowing what to say when put on the spot. My first novel, Shadow Campus, was published last month and is derived in a way from my interest in politics at work -- this time academic politics. It's a mystery-thriller set at a university business school. A young female professor is found hanging in her office, nearly dead, on the eve of her tenure decision. Her estranged brother, a builder by trade, must leave his New England home for L.A. to help a sister he has kept at a distance since a childhood event he can neither forgive nor forget.
Looking forward to learning and sharing. Kathleen Kelley Reardon

Hi, I'm L. J. Martin, a 35 times published author (Bantam, Avon, Pinnacle and my own Wolfpack Publishing), of mystery, western, thriller, and romance novels. I've also written non-fiction: Killing Cancer (I'm a two-time cancer survivor), California Cocina and Cooking Wild & Wonderful (cookbooks, obviously), and others. I live in Montana with my NYT bestselling wife, romantic suspense author Kat Martin, who has over 55 novels including AGAINST THE MARK, which just hit No. 10 on the NYT. Needless to say I'm a voracious reader, and consequently love this site.
Hello everyone,Thank you Rick for the invitation.
My name is Tony W Weaver and I am the author of The Book of the Way. I have published through createspace/amazon and have a website and FB page devoted to my book. I am currently working on both a sequel and prequel at present. I have been an avid reader since the age of five or so. The first book I can remember reading was the Wizard of Oz. I developed an interest in mythology and that is what the Book of the Way is about. Here are my links for those who are interested:

I grew up in Australia where we read British literature for high school. I bought a few books by Australian authors, notably A.B. Patterson and Henry Lawson who wrote about the Australian "bush." The most famous of these is "The Man from Snowy River." These were the old Australian ballads and worth the read if you can get these books. I write about Australia because my memories are so powerful and riveting. I live in the good ole USA and it is a great country. The Australian aborigines and American Indians have common mythology. "Tales from Ma's Watering Hole" (available on all storefronts) is my collection of Australian tales, about an old aboriginal shaman, Ma, who owns a Sydney café for the lonely. Each evening Ma, or one of her quirky patrons shares a story.... www.kayelinden.comcheck out my blog of aboriginal myth and short story craft... www.singingformyfriends.com

Im glad to be a member and thanks Rick.My reading has been all over the place for probably twenty five years in a serious fashion ranging from biographies to fiction of various genres to military history mostly biographical accounts. At the moment a huge queue of books in the crime fiction genre, enjoying Lee child,Robert crais,Mark Billingham and Michael j maloney amongst others...
I joined a few days ago; but just got a chance to post. My name is Kayla, I am from the rainy, but wonderful, Pacific Northwest. Unlike many of the people in this group, I am not an author. However, I have always been passionate about reading and good writing. Currently, I'm reading "The Great Gatsby." I somehow eluded having to read it in high school. I enjoy reading a variety of genres of books; however, I am not a fan of cheesy romance novels, science fiction or "chick lit." I like to read books of some substance. I particularly enjoy reading non-fiction, like history or biographies. Classic Hollywood films are a passion of mine. My favorite genre is film noir. Rita Hayworth, Bette Davis and Audrey Hepburn are probably my favorite classic film actresses. Actor wise, I enjoy Montgomery Clift, Gene Kelly and William Holden. But I am open to a variety of people. My favorite films of all time are probably: "Casablanca," "Singin' in the Rain," "Sunset Boulevard," "Sabrina," and "Some Like it Hot." I especially enjoy reading biographies about the classic film stars. If I can find an autobiography, even better as I feel they're the most accurate. My favorite autobiography is probably Desi Arnaz's "A Book." It's fantastic.
Finally, James Mason is a fantastic actor. I especially enjoy his work in "North By Northwest." He's also excellent in Lucy & Desi's film "Forever Darling." Even though the film itself is so-so. I want to watch his film with Judy Garland, "A Star is Born." But I haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet.

Hello I am Dvora Swickle I can be found here facebook and dvoraswickle.com and Amazon. Anywho thats where I can be found, for the note, I am a children's writer. I write for children, not adults. My stories are kid friendly. I talk about bullying, figuring out friendships, excepting apologies, finding your inner spirit, having a disability of any kind is excepted in my little world. I do not write edgy, I do not condole bad behavior, I want kids to know rules gently and kindly. I feel respect is important and feelings. Having dreams, no matter what they are, should be acknowledged and respected. Children should understand trust, fear, excitement and love above all. I even have little lessons for adults to find and never wanting to tell a parent how to teach there children, I believe we all can learn a thing or two as our prize possessions grow and mature. My ears are always open to that possibility. Love our little ones, respect them to teach respect. If they are crying find out, take time to stop your busy day to find out where they are coming from and how they see life. Thanks for the invite.

Hello, my name is Susanne Leist. It has always been my dream to one day write a book. That day was six long years and many rewrites and plot changes ago. It was a long and arduous publishing process but I'm very happy with the end product. My first book, The Dead Game, is a fast-paced mystery/thriller with a supernatural backdrop. Its plot, with its many twists and turns, leads to a surprise ending.I am delighted to be part of this group and would love to hear what everyone is reading.

I made a decision after numerous attempts at getting one of the "Big Publishers" and decided (after many rejections to try "Small Press". Has anyone read "The Dead Game" by Susanne Leist? Yes, that's me! I just released my first book on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. It is a murder mystery and supernatural thriller. It is very unique. It is like Agatha Christie meeting Dracula. It has many twists and turns in the plot with a surprise ending. It takes place in a remote town called Oasis. Beneath its blue, green waters and peaceful setting, lies an evil quietly waiting for its next victim. Bodies are turning up on the shore. Tourists are disappearing--never to be heard from again.
The young residents are invited to a party at End House. And that's when the games begin. They must embark on a long and arduous journey to uncover the one controlling the game and everyone in town.
It is a fun roller-coaster ride for all!
Thank you Rick for the invite into this great group! I am the author of "Shattered Image: Triumph Over Body Dysmorphic Disorder"
It covers my 27 year struggle with Eating Disorders(Yes males get eating disorders!) and drug addiction taking me to the brink of suicide. It reached #1 in the Amazon Eating Disorder Category. It is one of the few first hand accounts out there of male eating disorders and one of only 3 or 4 memoirs about male Body Dysmorphic Disorder in the World.
It is available on both Amazon and BarnesandNoble.com
