Leeny. Racking my brains to find an answer for you. James Mason is an open-ended Group so never dealt with that issue. I know that Moderators are able to adjust settings for their Groups. Have you tried that? Also I would email goodreads. They are quite helpful. Wish I had a better answer for you!!!

Linda (goodreadscomlindaheavnergerald) | 4 comments Hello Everyone, My name is Linda Heavner Gerald. Currently, I have three published Mystery/Thrillers. My first, Beaufort Betrayal was published in April 2012; Rosemary Beach was published in September 2012. Finally, my most current book, Will He? has just hit the shelves. I am expecting my first childrens book, Dusty the Island Dog any day now. Writing is such a surprise for me. I love it more than any sport or hobby. Since my husband and I are retired, this is the perfect time to write. It is possible for me to write as the creative juices are flowing. So far, I have been so blessed with wonderful ideas. My only problem is that my computer can't seem to keep up. My goal in writing is the hope that someone may be helped or inspired by my books. It would be a joy to find that they are books of substance with something positive. You will find no smut in these books, only a definite message expressed as clearly as I am able. To think that God may use one of these to relieve the pressure of life for someone who feels that things can't possibly get worse. Just remember that God is always there. He is waiting for your call.

THE REAL NAPOLEON - The Untold Story: it reveals a very different man from the usual stereotype and there is research included which is completely new - how the weather and climate, and especially volcanic eruptions, affected the history of the period. Did you know that Napoleon lost the Battle of Waterloo due to the eruption of the supervolcano Tambora?

Ronald Fischman (ron_fischman) | 5 comments Looking forward to learn and to share! I'm a self-published author of a literary novel, and newly hired as Associate Editor of GGIS Publishing in Philadelphia. We look for authors who are early in their projects in biography, memoir, and theology. We haven't taken on a novel yet, but if the right project came through (has to not rely on the sex and violence to sell the story, and the author has to be willing to work with us).

My gritty, action-packed debut novel BLOOD POOL is available on Amazon http://amazon.com/dp/B00AR0XFX2 Although I love writing thrillers, I'm more than willing to stray into other genres when reading. I just had to join this group when I saw that it commemorated James Mason. In my pre-school days I used to sit with my mother and watch old B&W TV movies in the afternoons. J.P. McLean (jpmclean) Hello everyone. I've been quietly enjoying your company since I learned of your group on LinkedIn, and thought it was about time I introduced myself. I'm an avid reader of contemporary and historical fiction, thrillers and fantasy (though no matter what the genre, if it's entertaining, I'll read it).

The genre I write in is contemporary or urban fantasy of the thriller variety. I feel a bit like the poor cousin to the other impressive authors in this group who have been able to list awards and reviews for their work. I'll have to work on that. Meantime, if you're interested in a non-award winning trilogy with scant reviews, I'd be thrilled if you'd check out my work at http://www.jpmclean.net. Your feedback would be most welcome.

Birth

In the outer realm
Where my mind’s eye
Aligns with the cancer moon
I gaze into the twilight
Of the dawn of my own age
I look within my disparity with question
Through the eyes of a vulture
I seek for meaning
I hope the answers to my questions
Are the answers that I seek

1st Impression

I am a sad clown
I live with an internal frown
When people first look into my eyes All they see is an evil demise
Someone they can't take serious
To them my intelligence is oblivious
So I act the fool
Just to be cool
For if they only knew
Anything about me
They would see
That I am nothing what I appear to be
I am a gentle soul
Living in a hole
Awaiting the day that I can be let out
And greet the world with a shout
I am very humble
Please remove me from that label
That everyone thinks of me
Please give me a chance and get to know me

Tammy Jones (alaskaboundonemansdream) | 1 comments Hi Rick,
Thanks for the invite. My name is Tammy and I am an author. In 2009, I reluctantly took a trip to Alaska, and the chain of events that transpired during that trip is what prompted me to write a book entitled ALASKA BOUND: One man's dream...One woman's nightmare!

I self published in both paperback and on Amazon's Kindle which has been a most uplifting experience. I've learned so much about the industry in the last two years and I am writing a sequel.

In 2012, ALASKA BOUND received an Independent Publishing Award in the category of Best Non-fiction for the West Pacific Region.

http://www.amazon.com/ALASKA-BOUND-dr...

I invite everyone to visit my website www.AlaskaBoundTammyJones.com where you can check out reviews from readers all over the world and enjoy beautiful scenic pictures of Alaska. Soon I will be adding videos of my trip up the beautiful Stikine River.

And finally, ALASKA BOUND by Tammy Jones will be free on Kindle on March 7, 2013.

Enjoy!
Tammy

Sandy | 13 comments Hello Fellow Readers,
I have just written a book about an Egyptian secret agent who falls in love with a beautiful Israeli woman. His conundrum is, of course, shall he be true to the only person he will ever love, or be faithful to his country and his religion Amazingly, the novel is 90 per cent true and the woman is my sister in law who never dreamed that an Egyptian spy was stalking her for 23 years until she met him one fateful day. The book is called The Conspiracies of Dreams. Some of the people who helped me write the book are William Shakespeare, Matthew Arnold, Rogers and Hamerstein, Mark Helprin, and Robert Frost. Rogers and Hamerstein and Mark Helprin gave me permssion to use their material, but sadly Shakespeare never answered my emails. My book is available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble.com and the Apple Store for IPAD.

I loved reading Following Atticus by Tom Ryan, The Hare with Amber Eyes by Edmund de Waal and any book by Annie Dillard.

Sandy | 13 comments I am Sandy Didner and my novel The Conspiracies of Dreams which I described briefly in the above note is how Christians, Jews, Muslims, and pagans all love the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea and dream of possessing it. My publisher Inkwater Press thinks so highly of it that it submitted my book for the IPPY Award. I have each culture express their desires for this place over the last 3,000 years. The web site is theconspiraciesofdreams/amazon.com. If anyone wishes to review it I would be extremely. So would the donkey who narrates the prologue and epilogue of my historical novel.

Robert Masello | 1 comments Hello, everyone - and let me start by saying that I am an absolute idiot when it comes to all things social media. But I know that I have to get with it -- especially as I have a new novel, "The Romanov Cross," coming out this week. I used to do signings at stores, but most of the stores are gone now! Anyway, I've been a writer for many years now, and I love to read (of course). My favorite writer of the traditional ghost story is M.R. James, and among the current authors whose work I enjoy I would say David Lodge, Martin Amis, Jane Smiley, Dan Simmons, et al. Anyone wishing to communicate with me can do so through Goodreads (I presume) or my own website at www.robertmasello.com. I look forward to figuring all this out, just as soon as I have finished churning the butter and drawing water from the well. Thanks, Rick, for inviting me in.

Writer, my genre is dark suspense fiction. I have quite a few books available including my latest from St. Martin's, TIES THAT BIND. Ties is the story of a Mormon family that falls apart when Callie, a middle child, commits suicide. What happens after that has been called "fascinating original." The majority of readers DID NOT see the ending coming, which makes me happy.

Just finished Lisa Gardner's CATCH ME. Love suspense, but I am an eclectic reader. You can find me in many genres, at least when I'm reading.

Forgive the form letter. It’s just that I received so many queries and I’m going to answer every one. Well, I’m from Philadelphia and am a multi-genre writer. Picture us somewhere in California on a terrace drinking frosty Margaritas from a clear pitcher and munching on brie and strawberries. The sun is setting and it is an angry orange ball ready to descend into the ocean. I am showing you my work and you are showing me yours. And somewhere there is a Sphinx cat (hairless weird animal) nearby named Hortense. T

My Book are Poems of Thunder (Noir & Whimsy). Catfish Joe & Double. Double, Toil & Trouble, and Gitana. And I have posted excerpts from each on my comedy fiction blog, http://societyfordaintydamsels.com. All books by Title & Carol Ann on Google.

It’s a short journey, Friend Take it. You shall not sorrow.
