Good Morning All. My name is Jacob Singer. My book is called The VASE with the MANY COLOURED MARBLES. It is a story that I have lived with all my life; a story about how, a young girl, Emily Kleintjies, born into the Cape Coloured Community in Apartheid South Africa, found that she could not live as a second class citizen. She successfully jumps the racial barrier, establishing a life for herself as Emma Kline. It is a beautiful story, and you will enjoy the read. Have a look at it on my webpage http://www.jacobashersinger.com

I'm Lydia from Delaware County, Pennsylvania. My favorite books are history, whether the thoroughly researched and documented or what I call faction --- the intermingling of an historical event combined with a fictional story line. I'm known to go into fiction --- sometimes just picking up a book on word of mouth or ,for some reason, it just got my attention. Hope to be a part.
Hello to all and thank you for a great community . I am part of a writing team and my name is Gordon , the other half is Eric "E.E.Borton". We have produced three fiction novels in the last 2 years. You can find us ...WITHOUT

Hi Folks, My name is James Hockey and my first literary love is historical fiction. I don't believe it could have been any other way. I am from the UK and was raised in an area rich in the past. I was born on the slopes of an Iron Age hill fort, Ham Hill. I grew up in a village not two miles from there where in 1034 a mysterious flint cross was found on the hill that overlooks the village. It was discovered by the village blacksmith who gave it to the Lord of the manor, one Tovi the Proud the standard bearer for King Canute. He dedicated it to a church he owned where later on it came into the possession of ill fated Harold II. When the English army at the Battle of Hastings found themselves under the threat of ex-communication by the Pope it was this cross they called on and the battle cry was Halig Rood, Halig Rood.In 1069 the hill on which the cross was found became the scene of the last major resistance to the Norman invaders . The English attempt to storm the castle the Normans built on that hill failed and they were massacred by Norman troops drawn from all points of the compass by the bloody, mutilating, Bishop of Coutances. Most of the English of the area were buried in a mass grave under Ham Hill.
No wonder I am obsessed with the history of the west country of England and have focused my books on speculating on the origin of this cross of ill omen. I say that because if it had never been dug up the hill would not have become a shrine and the English would not have been so offended by the building of the castle that they rebelled and the massacre would not have happened. As a totem it didn't do well at Hastings either.
This is History and well documented. I have turned it into literature in my books. You will find mention of them in the appropriate thread.
The Axe the Shield and the Halig Rood The Axe the Shield and the TritonMy website will tell you more and has some sample chapters so that you can see whether the writing style floats your boat. http://wyrdsisterspublishing.co.uk/
Another nifty history story from Feather... You will enjoy it! http://suite101.com/article/florence-...

I'm Joyce Zeller, compulsive writer. I have a romance, Maddie's Choice, published by Coffeetown Press coming out later this year. It's about modern-day cattle rustling and small town living in Arkansas. Repped by Loiacono Literary Agency, Jeanie Loiacono.I've written "The Hidden History of Eureka Springs," all the stuff you never hear about my town that's 160 years old.
My e-book on Kindle is scy-fi, fantasy, about a human-looking man who is really a plant, stranded here and learning about human behavior--funny but politically thought provoking.

Hello, my name is Saïdeh Pakravan. I'm glad to have found this group (but curious about the name. James Mason is one of the greatest actors ever but why is a book club named after him?) I am an Iranian-American author living in McLean, Virginia. My first book was "The Arrest of Hoveyda: Stories of the Iranian Revolution." My second book, a novel titled "Azadi, Protest in the Streets of Tehran" came out in 2011 and I've just published another novel, "Truce," available in both print and Kindle versions on Amazon. I'd love your help in spreading the word. I believe in Karma so I will help my fellow writers any way I can. Just let me know what I can do for you. Connect with me on Facebook and LinkedIn, or @spakravantca. Here's a commercial for "Truce" on YouTube.

Hello everyone! I love writing so much as it allows me to step out of myself a bit and connect with people I normally would not have the courage to connect with if it wasn't through the written word.My book is titled Gentle Goodnight and its mission is to offer moms an alternative to letting their babies cry themselves to sleep. I want all babies to go to sleep and wake up feeling safe and loved.
Gentle Goodnight is a step-by-step guide that will get your nursing baby to sleep in less than 25 minutes at home or on the go. I perfected Gentle Goodnight's dancing sleep method over a decade with my three kids and I knew I could share it with other moms, since it had been used over 6000 times with a 99.99% success rate. The Dancing sleep method works by matching your baby's energy where they are at before nap or bedtime and slowly brings it down to relaxing and finally to sleep. Using music, the volume, rhythm, and how fast you are dancing, the Dancing method is an enjoyable process for mom and it is easy to settle the baby down quickly with no crying or stress involved, only benefits.
Please stop by https://facebook.com/GentleGoodnight if you get a chance.
We are available on Gentlegoodnight.com, Barnesandnoble.com and Amazon.com
