I am so very happy to be a part of this site. I have lurked here for a long time, and enjoyed reading, reading, reading. Now I am crawling out of the woodwork from the depths of countless lonely nights into the bright light of a new day.
My name is Rob Krabbe. I have been writing for as long as I can remember, sometimes out of a passionate and obsessive need that’s produced countless poetry and short stories., But until now I had only worked on novels as a ghostwriter. After many years of being creative for other people’s websites, novels, biographic novels, and script projects, I made the decision to "come out," in my own name as a writer.

I’m a new author. In June I took the decision to publish my first book ‘The French Orphan’ – a historical novel set in the 17th century.
Why did I start? I was frustrated that I didn’t really find the kind of books that I wanted to read – so I ended up writing my own. I want to entertain my readers and I want my readers to travel back into a very exciting period of European history.
My book is about friendship, adventure, fun, humour, suspense and romance. Sounds simple, but well, I can assure you, it’s been like embarking on an emotional rollercoaster ever since.
If you have some time to spend and you share my passion for history or a good story, take a look and for sure, let me have your feedback.
The sequel ‘The secrets of Montrésor’ is almost finished and it would be great if I could share its adventures with some of you!

Rick - Glad that you found me and made me aware of the group (and I actually am a fan of James Mason: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Journey to the Center of the Earth may not have been the pinnacles of his career, but they made a big impression on me when I was a kid).I am the first-time author of an historical fiction novel, WIDE OPEN (Penguin Books), set in 1871 Abilene, Kansas. The story closely follows the actual events of Abilene's extraordinary peak year as a cattle town, including a pretty deep character study of Wild Bill Hickok.
