Thats great! I remember when my Grandmother was in her 90's- she loved to read but would forget the entire book about a week later- envied her a bit as she read Oliver Twist 5 times in about a month and each time it was like reading this wonderful classic for the first time.

I would like to thank James for the invitation to this amazing club, I am an author of crime-fiction, mystery, and suspense novels. I am currently publishing my series titled Thuggin In Miami and have released Part 1 of my first novel from this series titled, "The Family Is Made". I am new to any form of actual book club, and I am excited to learn from those more experienced self-publishers.

Thank you for the invitation. I look forward to reading the post. James Mason is one of my favorite actors of all time. One of my favorite movies and roles for him was as Prof. Humbert Humbert in the movie Lolita.

welcome Clayton! I agree- he was superb in that film!! not even nominated for an Oscar! Although having read his autobiography- it is clear that James Mason had little regard for the "Hollywood Game" or pretense- so I don't think he really cared that he was never given an Oscar- nominated three times- but never won- which, in itself - is an indictmentment of the whole Oscar "process"

Hello again everyone. It's been a while since I was here, I have been pretty busy. I just published my first novel, a long, dark, slow-burning paranormal fantasy called Entanglement. Only on kindle at the moment, I'm afraid, I'm hoping it'll be in print fairly soon. I shan't bore y'all with the details which are all on my author page. Please visit my blog to read extracts:http://mayapanika.wordpress.com/
I'm hoping to find a bit more time to spend here now the book is finally out in the world.

Rick, thanks so much for the invitation, this looks like a great group! I'm an author sure, but also an avid reader of all sorts of fiction, provided it's not a set, mechanical genre-type where everything is predictable from plot to character...because I love to be surprised and intrigued when I read. And I hope my writing does the same for my readers. So far I've been published in Italian (I live in Italy and write also in Italian) but since 2011 I have two books available in English on Amazon:Fear of the Past, a novel
Death on Facebook, Short Stories for the Digital Age

Hey all. I want to likewise thank Rick for his invitation to join this wonderful group. I'm a writer - and I spend a lot of time talking with other writers at various forums - but I don't always get to hear from so many readers. I'm what you call a "hybrid writer" - or at least that's what several of my publishers refer to me as. This means I publish both traditionally in trade paperback format and also digitally in e-book format. I'm just one of those weird creatures that would rather write than breathe. In another life I was that old dude sitting around the campfire telling stories.
If you want a sample of my work in e-book format try SUDDEN DEATH OVERTIME - a fast-paced novella of hockey and vampires.
If you want a suggestion for a sample of my work in paperback then I might suggest
or one of my ghost story collections
If you just want to hear how I think about life well you could check out my blog http://stevevernonstoryteller.wordpre...
I'll try and make it a point to hang here a little. If any of you folks have any questions about writing or storytelling I'd be more than happy to answer them.

Hi everyone,My name is Juliet M Sampson and I am the author of Behind the Mask. This is my debut novel. My website is www.julietmsampson.com
I am very excited to have joined this group and I look forward to sharing interesting reads with others.
I am also on facebook and twitter.
I am checking in to thank Rick for the invitation to join this group. I am Diana Wilder, a bookworm from childhood. If I wasn't reading, I was looking at pictures. I have some favorites that I can't live without, and have read some best-sellers that made me groan.
My profile has more information about me; people shouldn't sit through a long intro. Or, perhaps, not from me!
It's good to be here - thanks again for the invitation!

Well hello my darlings, I'm Thomas! Thought I may introdice myself, well I'm 29 an avid reader of all genres. I adore the vamperic genre the most, as Anne Rice is my all time favourite author, although Brenda Behan follows a close second. I also enjoy getting together with people to discuss recent readings, so friends me! x
How could I turn down an invitation to join a book group named after James Mason? I could not. So, thanks for having me. I'm the author of 4 novels and 1 book of non-fiction, I teach creative writing at the University of California Riverside and... I just finished Elizabeth Crane's WE ONLY KNOW SO MUCH which was brilliant and now I'm reading G. Willow Wilson's ALIF THE UNSEEN which is blowing my mind.
