Swift was the last word in sarcasm. He was so deft at it, his victims couldn't even quite tell they were being sliced to ribbons. They had to find out later! You can't get any sharper than that.
I recently read where they found the part of the brain that is responsible for sarcasm. So, I figure that people that don't understand sarcasm must be brain-damaged.
Then there are a lot of brain damaged people around. Youtube video's are full of furious comments by people who have no concept of irony, sarcasm or any form of humour not accompanied by canned laughter.
