Hello And Welcome

I haven't worked here long either lol. I think the worst part of working with food is when I'm runner. Then I have to stand next to the delicious smelling pizzas and not touch them and it's rough.
At least I get along with my coworkers, which I was nervous about. One of my already friends worked there even before I did, and everyone else seems to like me. I got into an argument with one but I totally crushed his argument so that was nice

lol yeah I made friends planning to not have any friends and jsut do my job, but it didn't work out that way at all. I knew everybody for about two weeks and they ended up seeing me in my underwear after a party lol.
I do get to sample everything I make though and when no one's looking I steal "samples" of other stuff too.

I actually really like some of them. I'm trying to convince Jake to bring his dog in, because he has a two week old husky puppy everyone is plotting to steal. Sam's quitting in a couple week though.
I'm one of the youngest, newest, and one of four girls that works there, so everyone there half bullies me. The type where they don't really mean anything by it, you know?
Like one of my coworkers, Craig, has figured out that I'm easily startled, so he's developed a habit of jumping out and scaring me at every opportunity. There's not much I can do to retaliate so I end up throwing the closest non-necessary and non-breakable thing, which is usually the rag that I wipe tables with. The other day he caught it and twisted it up. The rattail thing, you know? But he snapped it just as I turned to run away and got me right on the ass. Of course everyone laughed but we turn around and our manager is standing right there. Craig and I thought we were dead but our manager almost hurt herself laughing. So I'm good luckily lol

Lol that's hilarious. Yeah at work people tried to bully me and get me to do the jobs no one else wanted to do, but I retaliated rather quickly and told them I'm not here to take bullshit and I'm not here to be your play thing. I'll do the job my supervisor has given me and if you want your job done as well by me then you will ask nicely and I might consider doing it. Most people now jsut come to joke around with me liking the fact that I was straight forward with them formthe get go. They said I had balls to do it to a shift manager and I didn't even know she was a sift manager, but she seems to hold a love-hate relationship with me now haha.

There's few enough things to do that don't involve directly making the food that I don't have to deal with that. No one really actually tries to bully me. If someone needs a hand with something and I don't have anything to do or it's the slowest day they'll ask me to help, but if I need help with something and ask they'll help me too.

Yeah I try to keep a system of you scratch my back I'll scratch yours. I ask someone to clean my slicer and watch my section while I do dishes and I'll finish their dishes up too. Or I'll ask someone to mop the front floors and I'll sweep them to get it all finished at once. I do things nice to make myself look good that is probably a reason why they keep giving me more to do and give me extra hours. I know how to play my cards right and do six jobs at one time. I let everyone take their breaks at one time and I handle the front of the deli and the grill in the back sometimes and then when they get back I go on my break. I look to help people where it helps me. I know that sounds like a dick move, but I'm looking for a good paycheck and to take care of myself. I might be friends with some of them, but that doesn't mean I will take their worries and cares into consideration before my own. damn that sounds even worse.

I'm still new enough that I don't dare. The worst nights are fridays when the other busser likes to take her break right as I'm supposed to be leaving, and right as it's getting really busy. So I get stuck doing all her stuff and getting yelled at by one of my managers because I'm trying to do all this stuff by myself, and I should have been home like an hour ago.

Yeah that's when I confront people and if they don't start respecting me I start getting violent with my words.

Ugh my main manager already doesn't like me so I'm careful. Luckily she might be getting anew job soon anyway.

I like her as a person but I hate working with her.

lol yeah I know the feeling with a lot of people...but I tell them to their face about it.

She already doesn't like me. Mostly because she has this habit of whenever someone screws up any little thing she asks them why they screwed up. And no matter the answer she tears into them about it. Well I figured that out so I just don't respond anymore. Of course she gets mad about that, but I don't get chewed out for an excuse on top of it all.

Well at least you are thinking ahead.

She's so picky like I can be in the back kitchen emptying out a bus tub filled with dishes and talking to the guy doing dishwasher at the same time. And the dishwasher will be doing his thing too. And this manager will yell at us for talking even though we're both in the middle of doing stuff. We can even be talking about work and she'll get mad. It makes me feel like I'm just in class again and I hate it.

Yeah I have supervisors like that saying no talking more working and I say look I'm doing my job and they are doing theirs no where in those rules and guidelines does it say I can't hold conversation while working. Then again I am not one to take authority well. I really suck at taking orders from superiors because to me they are jsut as lowly as I am or they would have no need for working at all, otherwise. No wonder everyone in my family hates me for not joining the military like everybody else did.

Right? Though there are big signs posted with the basic rules and guidelines. Just the main two or three. And one of the big ones is no smoke breaks. Well guess what my manager does every hour? So one of us can be trying to get something done or go home and need to talk to her and she'll be out smoking.
I'm so antiphysical I could never survive the military I know that. My friend is probably going to go into it though, since her dad did.

ya we are only allowed smoke breaks during regular break times.

That's when they're supposed to do it.

Oh well I'd report her.

I don't want her to hate me more than she already does lol. And she might have a new job and leave soon anyway

Ugh I do too. No one there really liked her although I guess that's the usual for managers lol

lol I get along with my managers. We fight and argue at work, but outside of work we party, drink and chase each other half naked around fires hahaha.

Besides my friend the youngest of the workers is like 19 and I'm 16 so I doubt that's a good idea for us xD

I went to bed at seven this morning and woke up thirty minutes before work damn did I stay tired and lazy today or what while working.

I almost fell asleep in school today which I never do.
And then at work 4 people didn't show up so I was running three different jobs all night that was fun

wow that must suck. I was training anew girl today and surprisingly she wasn't at all like the idiot I trained last week. I showed her one time how to do things and she learned on the spot I was able to take two breaks and actually be lazy haha

I had to do salad most of the time which is my least favorite thing but I lived.

Yeah On a day like that I do meat and cheese slicers, salad bar, hot bar, and kitchen.

At least I couldn't get in trouble today. I'm trying to cover so much that if I slip up on one it's understandable. So that's a bonus.

Well it is always good to be able to get by with mistakes and be fussed out by a supervisor.
