I've had luck with older, heavier ones I've found at flea markets. But newer ones, not so much.
My bookshelf is metal. Solved all my problems.

I didn't think about that...True that would work. I found some cheap sturdy bookends at Staples. 10$ a pair so it wasn't too bad.
Not many books fit on these. It didn't even make a dent in the cabinet. Hubby put some shelves on top of his computer desk too and told me I could put my books there. So I'll need to get more bookends. :P
Oh my gosh, I finally got this to work!
I had to both both of my best b/c I couldn't choose. This doesn't include the two top shelves in my closet either :0)

I just appreciate seeing everyone's collection and the care they've put into it. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, and it's nice to feel that way instead of the assaulting other side of BUY MY BOOK.This topic feels like a breath of fresh :)
I agree. At times it seems like Goodreads is just a bunch of authors shilling books to each other. I think we forget who the sites really for, the READERS.Yes, this topic is refreshing.

i always wanted a corner bookcase like that red one, but it would never fit my more favorite rereadable books haha
