I read a book back in 2005 that was published somewhere between 1850-1900. The antique cover was green and it was about a woman's garden. If I remember correctly, the garden was full of beans and it became the woman's obsession, who died in the end.

I can't think of the title to save my life! Can anyone help me?

It's interesting that you mention that, because I've listened to this book on Librivox and it was very similar to the book I'm thinking of. Though I remember this book in particular ending on a sad note, with more talk of beans.

To be fair, I was a teenager when I read it, so my memory may have become blurred. I also remember it being a short book.
