FlibBityFLooB | 0 comments I loved the trial in this one, more specifically learning all about the werecat political structure. Very interesting!

Everytime they talk about Faythe partially shifting, I have trouble picturing it...

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 3123 comments What I really liked about this book is that Faythe grew up and realized that even with good intentions or no intentions that your actions have consequences and they aren't always what you think they are. In the world that she grew up in, even though she rebelled against it she was the family pet, the one who everything centered on. Even though she wants to be her own person she still looks for the approval from her family, especially her father. In her eyes, the trial should have been nothing...more What I really liked about this book is that Faythe grew up and realized that even with good intentions or no intentions that your actions have consequences and they aren't always what you think they are. Even though she wants to be her own person she still looks for the approval from her family, especially her father. In her eyes, the trial should have been nothing. She admitted she did wrong and was ready to take her punishment. The political movements behind the scenes were something she wasn't prepared for. I think that finding Kaci and seeing parallels between what she did to survive and what Faythe did opened her eyes even more. She finally realized that she couldn't always do what was good for Faythe, she had to think of her pride. Nowhere did that lesson get hammered home harder than what happened to her and Mark.

Kelley Anne | 1619 comments I completely agree with you! I think that she has started to grow up and has started to realize that sometimes things aren't going to go her way, and she really has no control over that. I love how she negotiated to be able to see Mark. The Faythe in the first book would have probably just thrown a fit and ranted and raved and never really figured out a productive way to achieve her goal. I did find it very interesting to see the very political side to the entire pride. Most of the were animal books that I've read never have any real struggles for who is in charge. For the most part, they are usually pretty established throughout a series. So this has been fun to see things get mixed up a bit!

I also loved the introduction of some new characters.
