The Fictionary is a custom e-reader dictionary that defines world-specific words within different novels. Some big fantasy series have one - Cosmere, Malazan, Elderlings, ASOIAF, Kingkiller, Dresden. You add it to your device of choice (Kindle eReaders, iOS Kindle Apps, and some Android. Doesn't work on Kindle Fire or Android Kindle app).
It's spoiler-free when possible. "Fictionary is created to be a snapshot in time. Your Fictionary will only include content from the books listed and spoiler free for other books. As you progress through a series you change your Fictionary."
I haven't tried it yet but it seems like a pretty cool idea, especially for SFF readers. It would be useful for dense series like Malazan and sprawling epics like the Cosmere novels. What do you guys think?
I've been using it for Malazan and Sanderson novels. I find that for kindle books without x-ray it is a big help (or I suppose if you aren;t using a kindle) - But x-ray is generally though not always superior to ficitonary, when it is available.
