Hi, I've been away from the group for ages as work has been a bit mad recently. Determined to tackle Africa in my reading in 2010. Did anyone read A Fish Caught in Time? I've just ordered it from Amazon for a penny plus postage.
I haven't gotten a copy yet but plan to...i think the group is in Chad through December and then it's on to Comoros...unless i'm not remembering my alphabets, which could very well be the case! :D
For Comoros, we could also read "Last of the Pirates" by Samantha Weinberg. Or "Human Spirits A Cultural Account of Trance in Mayotte" by Michael Lambek.Any thoughts on preference or availability?
Do people want to vote or shall we just read "A Fish Caught in Time", which sounds quite interesting?
Has everybody already already read the book? I've just my copy, and I hope to squeeze it in.....Looks rather interesting, but i still haven't started....
I started it this weekend and am about halfway through. I'm finding to be a quick and enjoyable read!
