Hi, I've been away from the group for ages as work has been a bit mad recently. Determined to tackle Africa in my reading in 2010. Did anyone read A Fish Caught in Time? I've just ordered it from Amazon for a penny plus postage.

I haven't gotten a copy yet but plan to...i think the group is in Chad through December and then it's on to Comoros...unless i'm not remembering my alphabets, which could very well be the case! :D

For Comoros, we could also read "Last of the Pirates" by Samantha Weinberg. Or "Human Spirits A Cultural Account of Trance in Mayotte" by Michael Lambek.

Any thoughts on preference or availability?

I started it this weekend and am about halfway through. I'm finding to be a quick and enjoyable read!

The territorial issues over the fish are interesting. I somehow didn't realize how close Comoros was to the coast.
