message 101: by Tracy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tracy | 823 comments I finished this one yesterday and it is a 5 star read for me. It's very unique and I became totally invested in Will Henry and the Dr. Could have slapped Kearns but oh well every book has their villians. Well...other than the obvious villains.

I love that drawing. It's close to but slightly off from how I've been picturing all 3 characters. I may adjust and meet the artist halfway haha.

Yeah, I honestly don't know what to expect around each corner. If it gets soft, I know it will be funny or gory around the corner, but don't know which.

message 104: by Harlee (new) - rated it 4 stars

Harlee | 1583 comments I'm on page 304, not too far into chapter eleven. Dr. Kearns is certainly fascinating to say the least. I like him and dislike him at the same time.

message 107: by Tommy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments I'm on 350-something. I'll finish by tonight or tomorrow, pending how much writing i do tonight.

message 108: by Tommy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments Finished today, I wanna say 7 hours ago or so.

Love it. Only went 4 stars because it took awhile for that love to set in, but by the end, it was there.

This book NEEDS to be a movie. It's seriously paced perfectly for a movie, I think it could be done well with a brave enough director.

*These spoilers be major!*

message 109: by Harlee (new) - rated it 4 stars

Harlee | 1583 comments I'm hoping to finish it tomorrow night. Right now, I'd say it's around four stars for me too.

It MAY go up for you because it ends pretty strongly. For me it teetered between 4 and 5 but I decided to be stern and hope the next book is even better haha.

message 111: by Storm (new) - rated it 5 stars

Storm Arashi (stormarashi) | 1130 comments I'm pulling an all nighter tonight. That is it I am pulling an all nighter.

Glad you enjoyed it too! I think you'll find that books 2 and 3 get you to that 5-star level. I hope so!

message 114: by Tracy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tracy | 823 comments I did David and I'm halfway finished with The Isle of blood and will start the last one after.

message 115: by Tommy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments Yeah, I started Curse of the Wendigo(book 2) today and I'm already liking the pace a lot better about 50 pages in.

message 116: by Storm (new) - rated it 5 stars

Storm Arashi (stormarashi) | 1130 comments I'm almost done with the first book, I might have to hunt down the second one very soon.

message 117: by Harlee (new) - rated it 4 stars

Harlee | 1583 comments I'm on page 385. Not sure if I'll be able to stay up and finish it, but we'll see!

message 118: by Storm (new) - rated it 5 stars

Storm Arashi (stormarashi) | 1130 comments 305.

message 119: by Harlee (new) - rated it 4 stars

Harlee | 1583 comments Just finished it and posted a review! I really liked this book! I would eventually like to read the next book, but I don't think it'll be anytime too soon. I've got A LOT of other books to get to lol!

message 120: by Tommy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments I already have the other 3 from the library so I'm gonna run through the next one. Book 2 moves much more quickly(the first 100 pages at least) and is so interesting so far. We get some unexpected back story about Warthrop that made me go "Wuhhhh?!"

message 121: by Harlee (new) - rated it 4 stars

Harlee | 1583 comments Ohhh, that's good to hear! Maybe I will get to it sooner than expected! :D

message 122: by Tommy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments Yeah, much less dense. To put it in perspective there's 10 less pages and over twice as many chapters (29 and an epilogue vs. 13 and an epilogue). And I got to page 85(chapter 8) in one sitting. So far, for me at least, it's a lot more gripping. Something book 1, despite being fantastic, failed at with me. I never got to a point that I just couldn't stop reading.

message 123: by Tommy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments K, 120 pages in and forcing myself to sleep haha.

I'm roughly 1/3 through book 2 and liking it a lot more so far. I feel like this could go up on my top series list.

message 130: by Harlee (new) - rated it 4 stars

Harlee | 1583 comments It was so good! I'm actually kind of sad I didn't plan ahead and buy the next book. If I had it now, I definitely would be reading it!

AWESOME!!! I thought you might say that. Book three is every bit as good, in my opinion :)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 787 comments Agree! Just keeps getting better, with the exception of the fourth, in my opinion

I did my best not to compare the 4th to the first three since it's SO different. I really applauded the author for doing what he felt he had to do in the 4th book, even if it was hard for us as readers to take.

message 144: by Tommy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments Hmm. Now I'm interested haha.

message 145: by Storm (new) - rated it 5 stars

Still on page 44 of curse of the Wendigo. Freaking love it so far. (view spoiler)

message 147: by Tommy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments Nice both of ya :) I'm reading Cress right now, then moving on to Isle of Blood.
