Stopping Watching Game of Thrones

I have the books, but I haven't read them yet. I bought and planned to read them when I first heard they'd be turned into a tv series, but I never got around to it. I'll keep buying the books as they come out, just to complete the set, but at this point I suspect I won't actually read them before the entire series is actually completed and a good number of years have passed since the end of the TV show.

I'm really happy though because I never realized how many of the leading characters in the series are women until this season :). And for at least 2 of them, Brienne and Margaery, the showrunners added their content. They weren't really explored in this depth in the books. And since they're my favourite characters, my loyalty goes to the show.

I love that they gave Maragery a larger role in the show. At least, a more visible and prominent one. More Natalie Dormer, all the time please!

I have a theory that the reason they decided to write more content for Margaery is because Natalie Dormer is such a fantastic actress and they wanted to give her more screen time.

They did the same thing with Charles Dance/Tywinn Lannister it seems like.
