Mary G. (nonometoo) | 319 comments Catherine wrote: "who was he doctor that Ian took William to when he was injured in the swamp by Indians?"

Dr. Dennis Hunter. But, the Indians did not cause William's injury. Do you remember how he got it?
That can be my question, ok?

message 953: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments Wasn't he shot by the group of indians? And Ian found him there, and helped him get out of the swamp? I know he was lacking food and supplies after he lost his horse.
Oh...yes....I remember now...he broke his arm whben he was thbrown off his horse. But I thought he was also shot, too.

No, it had something to do with a lightening strike. And, the doctor's name was Densel {I'm having trouble spelling this morning} Hunter. I remembered they called him "Denny" and couldn't think what that was short for.

message 955: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments Ok...well..I guess I'm going to have to re-read re-read re-read! Lol

Well...he was thrown from his horse....before the storm....I remember that....because his horse was spooked. His arm was either broken or his shoulder dislocated by the fall....and that is all I can remember! I don't remember him being struck by lightning

A tree was struck by lighting and a huge sliver punctured his upper arm. After chasing off the indians, Ian pulled the sliver and other wood particles out of the arm.

message 957: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments Ok..so I failed :( next question! Must re-read! Although..when I will have time, exactly, I don't know....what with all the other books I have...LOL!

message 958: by Mary G. (last edited May 16, 2012 01:56PM) (new)

Mary G. (nonometoo) | 319 comments That's right, Teresa. Your turn for question.

message 959: by Teresa (new)

Teresa | 9 comments OK...let's stay in the swamp for now. This is a two part question. What town was William headed to when he had his accident and what are the names of the men he was supposed to meet?

message 960: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments he was heading to Dismal Town.
He was going to meet Washington, Cartwright, Harrington, and Carver

message 961: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments Who was the other "traveller" that Jamie and Claire met...he was from Boston as well.(I think)

message 962: by Sue (new)

Sue Erickson | 673 comments Well my answer is going to end up being a hint! His name is on the tip of my tongue, but that's where it's gonna stay I guess. He was one of the Indians that came thru with Otter Tooth and was with Claire during the abduction scene. He also whistled "Yellow Submarine" and Brianna knew right away he was a "traveler".

message 969: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments yep..ok..next question

message 970: by Brunhilde (new)

Brunhilde | 158 comments When Roger, Bri, and the kids needed another stone to travel how did they get it and from whom?

(I have been crazy busy gardening, schooling, etc. but the wretched humidity and thunderstorms have driven me inside to hibernate)

message 971: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments not a clue! was it Jamie's aunt Jacosta?

message 972: by Sue (new)

Sue Erickson | 673 comments I think John gave one to Jamie.(I believe it was Hectors stone).

message 986: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (missmander) This one is probably pretty soft pitch, but here goes!
What does Hugh Munro give Claire as a wedding gift?

Thanks, Sue! I'm reading DOA right now, so that's probably why I remembered that. But I was thrilled to no end, at any rate.

message 987: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments a piece of Amber...I think

message 988: by Ann (new)

Ann (sleepyguider) | 198 comments More accuratly a piece of amber with a dragonfly embedded in it. On side cut away and polished.

message 989: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (missmander) Sorry Catherine, you were partially right, but I was really looking for the detail. It's one of my favorite parts of the story!! Ann, I guess it's your turn!

message 990: by Sue (new)

Sue Erickson | 673 comments I think he also gave them a dead rabbit!! I could be wrong.

message 991: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments oh..sorry...I was going to put the dragonfly in the answer too..but I figured all you wanted was the amber.

message 992: by Ann (new)

Ann (sleepyguider) | 198 comments Sorry I feel Guilty now.

Henry Gray has a piece of a musket ball somewhere in his abdomen? How does Mr Joseph Hunnicut locate it?

message 996: by Diane (new)

Diane | 1360 comments That's what I was thinking Sue some kind of divining rod. This is a good question though!

Sue Erickson | 673 comments Maybe he had some kind of magnet on it to detect the metal.

message 998: by Catherine (new)

Catherine | 288 comments for some reason, I want to agree with Sue that it was some sort of divining stick/rod
