Megan this is gonna drive me crazy until I get home to my book, lol. did it have anything to do with the scottish person that died in the hospital? (that claire helped die)

message 52: by Leslie (new)

Leslie (les2car) | 131 comments Geilis Duncan? I know she mentioned that she wanted to try to find her.

message 53: by ChristinaRae (new)

ChristinaRae | 295 comments Megan, it was Graham Menzies, a Scottish cancer victim who Claire helped die. She was then removed from patient care and given an administrative position, which loosened her ties to the hospital, which was sort of the last straw for her.

message 54: by Megan (new)

Megan who helped to save claire's life in the French hospital after her miscarriage?

message 55: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 235 comments The man at the hospital that she helped die. Was she suspended from the hospital?

message 56: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 235 comments Megan wrote: "who helped to save claire's life in the French hospital after her miscarriage? "

Was it Master Raymond?

message 57: by Megan (new)

Megan correct :)

message 58: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 235 comments What is the name of Claire's cat?

message 59: by Wendy (new)

Wendy | 259 comments I thought that Bree was her catalyst. She wanted to show her scotland and tell her about her father, the real one.

message 60: by Wendy (new)

Wendy | 259 comments Kelly wrote: "What is the name of Claire's cat?"

The cats name is Adso. It was also the name of a cat that Jamies Mother had before she died.

message 61: by Wendy (new)

Wendy | 259 comments New question: What is the name of Jamies Chinese friend?

message 62: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 235 comments Mr. Willoughby spelling?

message 63: by ChristinaRae (new)

ChristinaRae | 295 comments There should be bonus points for remembering his Chinese name.

message 64: by Megan (new)

Megan can't remember correct spelling..... yi tien cho?

message 65: by Wendy (new)

Wendy | 259 comments Good job megan! But Kelly is our next player.

message 66: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 235 comments Okay.

what is written on the inside of Claires wedding band?
The silver one.

message 67: by ChristinaRae (last edited Nov 27, 2009 11:17AM) (new)

ChristinaRae | 295 comments The bit of line from the Latin poem that Jaime quotes her early on; something like '1000 kisses'.

message 68: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 235 comments Can you come up with the exact words? It is in Latin I believe.

message 69: by ChristinaRae (last edited Nov 28, 2009 09:16PM) (new)

ChristinaRae | 295 comments Yep; "da mi basia mille" which is supposedly "and a thousand kisses more" but I don't believe that's a literal translation . . .

message 70: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 235 comments Yes! your turn!

message 71: by ChristinaRae (new)

ChristinaRae | 295 comments Speaking of Latin, what is the motto of the Fraser Clan? (and give the meaning, too)

message 72: by Lady (new)

Lady England | 91 comments Je suis prest - I am ready in French

message 73: by ChristinaRae (last edited Nov 30, 2009 12:17PM) (new)

ChristinaRae | 295 comments Yes. (and yes, it had nothing to do with Latin) Now it's your turn!

message 74: by Lady (new)

Lady England | 91 comments Hmmm...in Echo, what are Claire and Lord John doing when Jaime suddely appears from the dead at the door?

message 75: by ChristinaRae (new)

ChristinaRae | 295 comments In the book (DIA), it seems as though Claire is saying "da mi basa mille" is translated as the phrase "and a thousand kisses more" (at the end, talking to Roger). "Give me a thousand kisses" seems like the right phrase to me, too.

message 76: by Megan (new)

Megan ok, I'm going to go for an easy question to get this thread going again.

message 81: by Dolly (new)

Dolly Sullivan (Dollymama1) | 103 comments Yes it was wrapped in plastic. She ate it on the streets of Edinburgh. Voyager paperback page 309.

Claire did some healing and Murtagh sang in the taverns of the towns they passed through; she did a bit of singing and fortune telling as well.

message 98: by Dolly (new)

Dolly Sullivan (Dollymama1) | 103 comments Didn't she do some fortune telling?

message 99: by Mary G. (new)

Mary G. (nonometoo) | 319 comments Dorothy wrote: "Didn't she do some fortune telling?"

ChristinaRae | 295 comments The thing I was thinking of was fortune telling. Mary, I believe it's your turn.
