All her life, people have told 17-year-old tomboy Emma Wrangton that she’s not good enough, smart enough, or strong enough to succeed in life. Somewhere along the way, she started to believe them.
Without the promise of a respectable future after graduation, all Emma wants is to cherish her senior year by playing basketball with the guys and spending as much time as possible with her best friend before he heads off to some fancy university, leaving her behind. But when the high school basketball coach recruits her to join the team—the girls’ team—Emma discovers life is anything but a slam dunk. How is she supposed to know how to be one of the girls when all she’s ever been is one of the guys?
Hey ...am 64% down... Where (view spoiler)[ Em is being treated as superstar and she is hatjng it... The lack of romance is so refreshing I am just loving it... What do you feel about Riley ? And about Lauren (hide spoiler)]
How was it for you... I am almost done... Had to read other books for deadlines lol... (view spoiler)[ Isn't her family totally disgusting. I mean she lived her whole life is in a freaking garage. How sad is that ? (hide spoiler)]
I finished yday and I simply loved it. (view spoiler)[ I loved how there was minimal romance and the whole story's base was friendship and bonding. Surprisingly I didn't have any characters that I hated ( I am not counting Em's family in the story. They are non existent for me... ) the plot was superb and I loved how the game was detailed. I enjoyed every page that I read.
Guys...I completed it and really liked it! (view spoiler)[ This is so good!!! I used to play basketball so I understood(kind of) what was going on. I loved Emma so much!Well, I loved all the characters, like Purvi said. But I felt that Riley was a bit too controlling at times. What do you guys think??? (hide spoiler)]
Am glad Divya that you liked it as well. (view spoiler)[ I think Riley just wanted the best for Em. If it wasn't for him Emma would never have accepted the offer to join Girls Basketball team. He did what Emma's family SHOULD have done. He was her family in my eyes (hide spoiler)]
