Debra (deabkwrm) I read this book about the same time I was reading some Deborah Crombie novels -- maybe around 5 years ago. However, I don't think it was a Deborah Crombie novel. It did take place in contemporary England. There was a series of murders and using the contemporary methods of "profiling," the detective(s) was having a difficult time determining whether the murders were the work of one killer. Or course, the murders WERE the work of one person, with his/her own internal logic, so to speak (don't want to give away too much). The murderer was keeping the dead victims in a rented warehouse -- refrigerated, I think. Hope that helps, in all its gory detail. Thanks.

Debra (deabkwrm) Yes -- that's it! Thanks so much. I was thinking maybe Jill McGown or Peter Robinson. Susan Hill was barely on the list of "possibles," so you saved me a lot of time! Now I'm off to the library to get more Susan Hill books. All the best to you! BTW, do you know how I move this post to "solved"????
