Top secret ESP project now mainstream: 2014 remote viewing conference -- http://tvtranscend.blogspot.com.au/20...

By Steve Hammons

Once, it was a closely-guarded and classified program that included scientists, military personnel, the intelligence community and civilians with certain natural talents and abilities. It came to be known as Project STAR GATE.

Today, millions of Americans and people around the world are familiar with Project STAR GATE's concept of “remote viewing,” an approach to information-gathering, discovery and understanding using human consciousness.

And more people will learn about remote viewing at the annual conference held by the International Remote Viewing Association (IRVA) Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29 at the Green Valley Ranch Hotel, Spa and Casino in Henderson, Nevada.

The IRVA Conference 2014 will feature many speakers familiar with the scientific, defense and human potential aspects of remote viewing.

Like intuition, gut instincts, hunches and possibly some dreams and visions, remote viewing attempts to use the alleged “sixth sense” and extrasensory perception (ESP). Remote viewing taps into interesting and sometimes amazing areas of human consciousness that we are learning more about.

Reputable remote viewing training programs have now trained thousands of people to use their consciousness in advanced ways, and maybe also ancient ways. And millions of other people around the world have heard about, read about or have some understanding of the concepts involved in remote viewing.

The 2009 movie “The Men Who Stare at Goats” also introduced many people to the concepts of remote viewing and other leading-edge research. The film poked fun at some of the innovative and forward-leaning military efforts and research projects, but it also contained many grains of truth that informed audiences in meaningful ways. “Goats” stars George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges helped tell a very important story.

SCIENCE MEETS TRANSCENDENCE

The keynote speaker at this year’s IRVA conference is Eben Alexander, MD, the neurosurgeon who chronicled his fascinating near-death experience (NDE) in the best-selling non-fiction book “Proof of Heaven – A Neurosurgeon’s Journey Into the Afterlife.” His book about the far realms of human consciousness and another reality has resonated with millions of readers.

Alexander’s keynote address is titled “Profound Mystery of Consciousness: The Hard Problem and the Quantum Enigma.”

The master of ceremonies is Bill Ray, who has 47 years of service to the U.S. Army under his belt, many of those years in the intelligence field. Ray was part of Project STAR GATE from 1984 to 1987 and received remote viewing training with the program.

George Noory, U.S. Navy veteran and host of the top late-night radio show in the U.S., Coast to Coast AM, will moderate a panel discussion on “Fate vs. Free Will.”

Other speakers include former Project STAR GATE remote viewer Paul Smith, PhD, author of the book "Reading the Enemy’s Mind" and a retired Army major; researcher and writer Angela Thompson Smith, PhD; Glenn Wheaton, former Army non-commissioned officer and co-founder of the Hawaii Remote Viewing Guild; and Russell Targ, PhD, one of the early Project STAR GATE scientists.

Several other fascinating speakers will examine the many angles of discoveries and questions related to remote viewing and the potential of human consciousness. These experts include Pam Coronado, Christopher Barbour, John Kortum, John G. Kruth, Nancy Du Tertre, Graham Nicolls, Debra Lynne Katz, MSW, Lori Williams, Alexis Poquiz and Marty Rosenblatt.

And, of course, the annual PK Party will be held to demonstrate the alleged use of psychokinesis (PK) to bend spoons using consciousness – “Kids of all ages welcome!” says the conference website.

COMPLEMENTARY AND INTEGRATIVE

Phenomena like remote viewing used to be called “anomalous cognition,” anomalous meaning inconsistent with what is usual, normal and expected, and cognition meaning conscious mental activities involved in thinking, understanding, learning and remembering.

Now, we might tend to regard intuition, gut instincts, ESP and remote viewing as natural, normal parts of human consciousness. Drawing a parallel to “complementary medicine” and “integrative medicine,” remote viewing and similar phenomena might be thought of as “complementary cognition” and “integrative perception.”

We know now that there are practical applications for this human capacity, not only in the defense and intelligence areas, but also in public health and safety, health care, education, creative activities and a wide range of human endeavors.

And, many believe that we are rediscovering and becoming familiar with a human trait that is actually ancient and basic. Our long-ago ancestors needed robust “situation awareness” to survive. In fact, all creatures do. Could sixth-sense awareness be a survival mechanism just like many other characteristics we possess?

Cultures like Native Americans found value in various kinds of consciousness such as dreams, visions and signs. Can these, too, be forms of a sixth sense?

The five senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste are only part of the story. Thinking with our logical minds and biological brains only takes us so far. When we listen to our hearts, we are probably more on target.

And when we combine our experiences through physical, sensory, mental, emotional, spiritual and sixth-sense awareness, maybe we will make significant progress, reach a tipping point and make a breakthrough in human consciousness.

James Morcan | 11378 comments Remote Viewing & US Government Psychic Experiments with former police officer John Herlosky -- https://www.goodreads.com/videos/8538...

Author John Herlosky is a former police officer and instructor, an expert in the field of human performance technologies, and self-described skeptic, is perhaps one of the last people to become a believer in the power of “consciousness related phenomena,” but after attending a class taught by a former member of the CIA’s Star Gate psychic spy unit, Dr. David Morehouse, his life changed forever.

Herlosky's new book A Sorcerer's Apprentice: A Skeptic's Journey into the CIA's Project Stargate and Remote Viewing, details his research, his initial experiences with this secret world, and his time learning the CIA-sponsored, scientifically validated, extra-sensory perception called Remote Viewing.

The Stargate Project was the code name for a U.S. Army unit established in 1978 at Fort Meade, Maryland, by the Defense Intelligence Agency and SRI International (a California contractor) to investigate the potential for psychic phenomena in military and domestic applications. This primarily involved remote viewing, the purported ability to psychically "see" events, sites, or information from a great distance. The project was overseen until 1987 by Lt. Frederick Holmes "Skip" Atwater, an aide and "psychic headhunter" to Maj. Gen. Albert Stubblebine, and later president of the Monroe Institute. The unit was small-scale, comprising about 15 to 20 individuals, and was run out of "an old, leaky wooden barracks".

James Morcan | 11378 comments CIA Posts Huge Cache of RV Files http://www.coasttocoastam.com/article...

Remarkable insights into remote viewing, UFOs, and other odd topics can be found among a massive 12 million page cache of documents posted online for the first time this week by the CIA.

The enormous release consists of nearly 800,000 different files which had been previously declassified but were only available to researchers who actually traveled to the National Archive to examine them in person.

Thanks to diligent work from FOIA activists, the documents have finally been digitized and posted online.

Garnering the attention of paranormal enthusiasts is an enormous collection of files pertaining to the CIA's controversial remote viewing program known as 'Stargate.'

Perhaps knowing that these files would be of interest to visitors, the agency collated them into one section which boasts a jaw-dropping 12,473 files!

Although the compendium can be searched, it is still rather daunting in its depth and will likely keep paranormal researchers busy for quite some time.

For example, an initial search of the Stargate collection yields dozens of different files which contain the term 'UFO,' 20 files that mention the word 'extraterrestrial,' and a surprising 70 files that feature the word 'ghost.'

One of the most tantalizing items already unearthed is an amazing 32-page report on a 1973 CIA test of psychic Uri Geller's purported paranormal abilities.

Another entire section of the file release is devoted to 'secret writing' and features fascinating information on 'invisible photography,' German 'secret ink,' and an amusing set of instructions from the CIA in 1978 about how to open sealed envelopes.

No doubt numerous paranormal nuggets will emerge once investigators spend some time examining the archive which has, unfortunately, been slammed with traffic since news of the release broke today, rendering the search function intermittently unavailable.

That said, following the links provided in this piece should provide a starting point for anyone looking to take a deep dive into what is known as the CIA's CREST Collection.

"In the first hour, remote viewing expert Lyn Buchanan talked about his recent brush with death and how his very own controlled remote viewing techniques saved his life. "I have seen [remote healing] happen so many times that it's just undeniable," Buchanan said, noting his belief that it also made the difference for him after suffering a heart attack brought on by a reaction to eye drops. According to Buchanan, remote viewers were alerted of his condition and remotely influenced his body to heal itself. They influence the subconscious mind to get that person to heal himself, he explained. Buchanan also shared how he survived viral encephalitis with zero chance of living through the night thanks in large part to the power of prayer."

James Morcan | 11378 comments US journalist and researcher Annie Jacobsen is back with a new book Phenomena: The Secret History of the U.S. Government's Investigations into Extrasensory Perception and Psychokinesis that covers psychic spying and remote viewing.

Secret Government ESP Experiments (Coast to Coast excerpt):

In the first half, Annie Jacobsen, a journalist who writes about war, weapons, US national security and government secrecy, shared her research on how the US government worked with psychics and scientists with top-secret clearances. She saw origins for this coming from WWII, and occult interests of the Nazis, and the Soviets. By the 1960s, the Soviets began to merge technology with ideas considered to be supernatural, and the CIA become more competitive in these arenas, she cited. With the CIA announcing they had dropped their Remote Viewing program in the 1990s, most assumed that US psychic research had ceased in the government and military, but she found that was not the case with covert programs re-emerging in the 21st century.

She located declassified documents on the British astrologer Louis de Wohl, whose column "Stars Foretell" was popular in America during WWII, and learned he was actually a British intelligence agent sent by MI5, and was using his columns as propaganda to get the Americans to enter the war. She also talked about how scientists had "conversion" events, moments in which they became convinced of the veracity of ESP and other phenomena. Jacobsen recently interviewed famed psychic Uri Geller at his homes in England and Israel, and found him to be a "force to be reckoned with." She witnessed his telekinetic spoon bending process, and while skeptics believe what he does is akin to a magic act, she said he uses a technique that is different from magicians, and is not trying to manipulate or deflect what the viewer sees.

Read the full recap here or listen to the radio episode in full: http://www.coasttocoastam.com/show/20...

Meanwhile here is the synopsis for Jacobsen's Phenomena: The Secret History of the U.S. Government's Investigations into Extrasensory Perception and Psychokinesis:

The definitive history of the military's decades-long investigation into mental powers and phenomena, from the author of Pulitzer Prize finalist The Pentagon's Brain and international bestseller Area 51.

This is a book about a team of scientists and psychics with top secret clearances.

For more than forty years, the U.S. government has researched extrasensory perception, using it in attempts to locate hostages, fugitives, secret bases, and downed fighter jets, to divine other nations' secrets, and even to predict future threats to national security. The intelligence agencies and military services involved include CIA, DIA, NSA, DEA, the Navy, Air Force, and Army-and even the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Now, for the first time, New York Times bestselling author Annie Jacobsen tells the story of these radical, controversial programs, using never before seen declassified documents as well as exclusive interviews with, and unprecedented access to, more than fifty of the individuals involved. Speaking on the record, many for the first time, are former CIA and Defense Department scientists, analysts, and program managers, as well as the government psychics themselves.

Who did the U.S. government hire for these top secret programs, and how do they explain their military and intelligence work? How do scientists approach such enigmatic subject matter? What interested the government in these supposed powers and does the research continue? Phenomena is a riveting investigation into how far governments will go in the name of national security.

James Morcan | 11378 comments Mary J Starry wrote: "Do you consider the reports of actually performing remote viewing credible?"

Yes. It's a legit form of spying for intel. agencies, but it's become more classified since the US projects of the 70s-90s and the Soviet ones in the 60s-70s. The military are still investing heavily into it and they don't do that for decades unless they are getting major returns...

A lot of the US remote viewing research dovetails in with, or else was directly inspired by, Robert A. Monroe. His work wasn't called remote viewing, but rather out of body research https://www.monroeinstitute.org/rober...

Having had a series of out of body experiences myself as a kid and in my teens, I'm more familiar with Robert Monroe and the Monroe Institute in Virginia (a place where a lot of the early remote viewers in the US studied...). But I've done a remote viewing course also, taught by an ex-military guy, and it's all pretty familiar to me and makes sense.

Remote viewing is nothing knew, it's basically psychic abilities that have been around since the beginning of human kind -- utilized by all native peoples all over the Earth. But remote viewing is the technical term and the scientific approach as the likes of the military don't like the term psychic ;)

James Morcan | 11378 comments What is Remote Viewing and Remote Influencing? https://probablefuture.com/what-is-re...

What is Remote Viewing?

The Simple and Powerful Secret to Freedom Is Already Within You…
Sounds really far-fetched?

How do we train you to achieve what, for now, may seem to you to be supernatural feats?

It’s quite simple in fact.

We are now about to openly disclose to you the “secret” behind “The Secret” of manifesting reality, thought-to-thought “co-incidences ” and “synchronicities.”

You are about to fully understand the simple underlying secret behind all of reality.

You carry this secret within you from birth, but due to social conditioning you have never discovered the life-changing power enclosed in it. This power is your ability to apply the law of attraction, which is also the the law of “magnetically charging and attracting reality.”

This is the final unifying frontier of mind & matter.

How to Tap Into the Cosmic Mind

In July 1998 we wrote a revolutionary article, still posted on our site, which explained the location of the Mysterious Universal Mind (collective unconscious) of psychoanalysts, quantum physicists, mystics and spiritual believers.

In this article, we stated that we, as humans, can all connect to this Gigantic Mind unifying all of us across time, space and far beyond. In fact, we ALL do so every night as we quiet down our individual linear thinking minds and enter the area of unconscious sleep.

We contend that all minds are connected to a Gigantic Cosmic Mind, which is called the collective unconscious by psychoanalysts and psychologists. Our goal is to help you bring it to conscious awareness.

Throughout our writings on this site, we have explained how this Cosmic Mind goes well beyond the level of the collective unconscious of man. It also governs the natural and biological worlds and much, much more.

It is Infinite Intelligence Itself.

It is non-linear in nature, but allows for linear processes to operate within Its Infinite Self.

When human beings sleep, their brain rests and their linear-thinking-mind lowers its electrical activity to below 4 cycles per second. The brain vibrates at a low hum and stops filtering the awareness of the Higher Mind and stops overlaying it with our own conscious thoughts.

At that level of quiet and barely active linear mind, we enter the Universal Mind and lose our individual consciousness as we go into unconscious sleep.

From Wartime Intelligence to Infinite Intelligence…

In 1996, as the cold war died down, many teams of highly specialized former psychotronic military and intelligence agents came out in the open in the US and across Europe to disclose the operation of mind-to-events and mind-to-mind covert operations in which they had been involved.

In the dark era of paranoid psy warfare between the Western and the Eastern block, several sophisticated and brilliant scientific minds were gathered in the West in order to breach the ultimate frontier of mind/matter and affect mind-to-event viewing.

This is Remote Viewing and Sensing, which is the ability to view/sense remote events and remote locations in the screen of your own mind.

These great minds were also asked to try to increase our ability to Remotely Influence present or future events (life manifestation) and people (telepathy) through mind power alone. Much technological gadgetry was tried and sometimes even used.

The “secret” of manifestation was being applied in a twisted manner, as it happens with most of man’s illusory temporal dreams for conquest and power.

Nevertheless, great strides were being achieved at the same time, and success was noted and recorded (although much of it is still classified).

All Remote Viewing and Remote Influencing operatives’ successes were carefully monitored and recorded using highly sophisticated scientific devices.

Many classified training protocols and modalities were devised in secret government labs and implemented in order to induce these supermind states and feats.

One particular event noted as an interesting by-product of successful remote viewing was the fact that while successfully remote viewing distant targets or remote influencing events, these remote viewers would show a pattern of theta slow waves (4 to 7 cycles per second; usually indicative of a very relaxed and quiet mind state) on brain encephalographic electrical-brainwave recording machines.

Nothing much was made out of it in the US as most scientists were bent on finding and detecting “physical” external mind waves in the ether and not looking inside of each of us.

Major General Stubbelbine (ret.), former head of US Army intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) was asked about the mental state of military intelligence remote viewers at an event sponsored by the International Association for New Science, Denver, Colorado, May 22-25, 1992. In this recorded speech, he revealed:

“Completely passive, totally passive, obviously, as a state of mind, the individual’s state of mind, heavily Theta. For those of you who understand brain waves, it’s a Theta brain wave state of mind that they are in. We’ve actually measured some of them and they are very heavy in the Theta brain wave arena, but it is totally passive as far as I can tell, there is no active instrument other than the mind that is accessing the information.”

In the same speech he said, “. . . The second thing is, do they go into a trance? Well, I think mentioned we measured some of them and they are in a Theta brain wave state.”

In 1995 a small group of former viewers started to operate in the public arena as the CIA and DIA declassified most of its Remote Viewing information for the general public.

William Ross Adey, M.D. 1922-2004, Professor of Anatomy and Physiology, Los Angeles, wrote in the 50’s about the relationship between the deep Theta state 4.5 cps and the ability to Remote Influence others. In his pioneering work, Dr. Ross Adey determined that emotional states and behavior can be remotely influenced merely by placing a subject in an electromagnetic field.

By directing a carrier frequency to stimulate the brain, and then using amplitude modulation to shape the wave to mimic a desired EEG frequency, he was able to impose a 4.5 CPS theta rhythm on his subjects. Although he used physical protocols (microwave radiations) to induce such a state and achieved results, he never could really give an explanation as to WHY this deep meditative brain state and its associated physiological brainwave state were needed to achieve success.

Although the deep Theta phenomenon was scientifically recorded and duplicated, no one gave a logical and coherent explanation as to why this stage of mind, epiphenomenally associated with 4.5 CPS brainwaves, was inducing such extra-ordinary mental abilities.

Until now, few have really understood or integrated the fact that we are still, at a very deep level of mind, the collective unconscious. This collective unconscious, as a subpart of the Universal One, takes care of ALL of humanity at once.

Unleash the High Mind’s Power within You….

The Real Secret Behind the Mind’s Frontier….
In 1997 many former Western psy operatives and scientists began sharing some insight on the recently declassified very mechanical protocols favored by the intelligence establishment. Many news organizations, radio shows, and TV documentaries extensively reported on what appeared to the general public to be a very exotic topic formerly reserved to the realm of science fiction and X-Files shows.

We then came out also in the open, and revealed in 1997 a totally different approach. We openly declared that the “secret” to Remote Viewing lies in the ability of successfully positioning one’s mind at the border of sleep in a very deep Theta 4.5 cycle per second brain state. At that level of reduced brainwave activity, the ‘conscious’ human mind can access information originating from the Cosmic Collective Unconscious Mind. Our Remote Viewing course trains anyone to do so.

Hi Meghan, yes I think gaslighting would be a form of remote influencing. Besides The Men Who Stare At Goats (great book, but weak movie adaptation, I thought), the film Inception covered gaslighting a bit where the targeted individual was Cillian Murphy's character if you recall.

Pretty sure The First Earth Battalion field guide was written by retired US Army major general Albert Stubblebine, not Jon Ronson.

Ronson wrote The Men Who Stare At Goats which covered a lot of Stubblebine's work, including that field guide.

The Bottom line is the US and Russian governments have spent tens of billions on psychic programmes over many decades... And those projects, mostly highly classified, continue to this very day.

So it's a pretty safe bet these are more than just little experimental projects as the military and intelligence community would have us all believe...

James Morcan | 11378 comments Stanford Scientists Observe Man Travel Out of His Body and Into Space – What He Saw Was Remarkablehttps://www.collective-evolution.com/...
The Facts:During a study, a man named Ingo Swan remote viewed the ring of Saturn prior to scientists knowing it existed. The CIA and NSA were involved in this study in the 1970's.
Reflect On:Who are we truly? If we have the ability to project our consciousness such that we can remote view non-local spaces, are we truly just a brain in a body? Or are we something more?

Tantra Bensko (tantrabensko) | 74 comments I consider myself to have no boundaries. I learned remote viewing at age 12 and have since been able to see people's health, auras, and state of kundalini at any distance. It helps to stay in practice, be oriented toward that work, live a lifestyle with plenty of nature, etc to cultivate that ability, but it does tell me that I can expand my awareness of parts of my particular auric signature into the distance and know the particular topic I was trained to know that way.

James Morcan | 11378 comments Birth of Remote Viewing https://www.coasttocoastam.com/show/2...

In the first half, Russell Targ discussed his forthcoming documentary Third Eye Spies, detailing his creation of the remote viewing program at the Stanford Research Institute during the Cold War, including his work with the father of remote viewing, the late Ingo Swann. It was an unprecedented time that spanned twenty years, in which the CIA and government scientists strongly supported both the reality of ESP and its usefulness in Cold War psychic spying. In addition to Swann, the documentary profiles the talented psychics Pat Price and Hella Hammid. Price, Targ revealed, was taken away from SRI after his amazing description of a Russian weapons factory.

Price went on to work for the CIA near Langley in Virginia and was able to remote view inside the code room of a foreign embassy and describe what was there. "Very shortly after that, Price mysteriously died," Targ said, adding that he thinks he was killed, as he was likely considered a danger in that he could retrieve nuclear launch codes. Remote viewing is an example of non-local awareness which dovetails with new ideas in physics and quantum entanglement, as well as the Buddhist idea that separation of consciousness is an illusion. The data, he said, shows that we're connected in surprising ways to points in space-time that appear distant to us.

James Morcan | 11378 comments How the Army tried to explore ancient Mars with a psychic https://www.wearethemighty.com/histor...
In 1984, the Army was studying all sorts of paranormal phenomena, from men trying to walk through walls and move objects with their mind to killing goats from 100 feet away. One of the lesser-known experiments was in "astral projection" with soldiers trying to move their consciousness to a different time and space. And the most exotic locale they tried to reach was a million years ago on Mars.
