artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Should I start?

message 2: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Um...wanna wing it? Or should we do it on like a book?

message 3: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Let's wing it!

I am Peyton Brooks. She is an extrovert. She has been rich her entire life, and has never faced poverty. That night, tragedy struck. After an intense night of partying, Peyton went home and discovered he mom and dad deep in conversation, their faces somber. Peyton, always oblivious, was her bubbly self! She asked her dad about his day when her dad suddenly broke down. He had lost his job.

((Sorry for taking so long.))

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments /Skip forward to school\

"Hey Peyton!" Alisha Davis, who was the second most important part of the popular posse, called out. "I heard your dad lost his job. Poor you! How are you going to get designer things now!" Alisha put on a fake sad face, but it was pretty obvious she was blatantly showing off her new Michael Kors. Peyton, thoroughly embarrassed, ran off.

message 5: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments ((I am falling asleep.))

message 6: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Hey good morning!

message 7: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Ugh, I'm sick. I gotta go to the doctor. Ew.

message 8: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton was locked in a bathroom stall, with her heels discarded and her hair undone. Every time she thought of Alisha and how her so-called "friends" laughed at her, Peyton would start a whole new sob fest. Eventually, her tears dried out. Peyton quietly slipped out of the stall and into the hallway once more. She gasped as she saw a boy standing there. It was after school! Even though her dad was jobless, she couldn't let her status as the most popular girl suffer any longer. Hoping she didn't look like she cried for an endless amount of time, she walked by the boy.

message 9: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments ((sorry, I was at the doctors and at CVS for my prescription.))

message 10: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton scoffed. "Of course I'm alright!" She flipped her hair and continued down the hallway.

message 11: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton felt a sharp, stabbing sensation. It was as if this boy was...in her mind. Peyton mentally slapped herself. "All this crying has messed with my brain. How could he be reading my mind," she thought.

message 12: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Suddenly, Peyton had a realization. Everything seemed...clear. She assumed that the crying had unclouded her mind. Peyton doubted that idea. As she glanced over at another pedestrian, she realized that she could tell his physical state. According to what she saw, he was healthy. Peyton glanced over at a weary mother with 3 kids. She saw that the mother had some sort of infection growing in her. Cancer! She had cancer! Peyton wanted to run up there, but her upbringing prevented her from doing so. "Wow," she thought, "This is actually happening!"

message 13: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton finally reached her neighborhood, surprised to see the boy she had met in school. She ambled over to the boy to ask him some questions.

message 14: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton, always the bubbly one, smiled. "Hi to you too," Peyton said,"I have a few questions..."

message 15: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments "Um...How do I word this? Are you a mind-reader? UM...I know it sounds weird...I mean, I was on the street and I saw this guy and maybe I think I'm insane." Peyton rambled.

message 16: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments "Wait!" Peyton ran up to him. "What's your name?" Peyton had a weird feeling she would need it.

message 17: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments /Next Day\

Peyton sulkily changed out of her pajamas. "Another day," she thought. Today she had a purpose. She was going to find out about Peter.

message 18: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton was strutting down the hallway when she saw him. Peter. She tucked a loose strand of brown hair behind her ear and rushed up to him. "Peter!" she called. Peyton was aware of the laughter falling from Alisha's mouth. "Chasing after a guy Peyton? I thought you were better than that," Alisha giggled. Rolling her eyes, Peyton glanced around the hallway for a sight of him. UGH! Peyton couldn't find him again!

message 19: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton was fed up with Peter's antics. "Ugh," she thought, "If I were a guy and I was hiding where would I go first?" Peyton caught sight of the bathrooms. "It's not like this day can get any worse," Peyton thought. She stepped into the men's bathroom.

message 20: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments I saw Peter step out of his stall. "Peter, don't lie! I can tell you read minds! I see that you have a formation in your brain! That is your ability to mind read. I need to know that I'm not insane. Please tell me!" Peyton felt disgusting begging to him, but it had to be done!

((me too. I am going to a party from 4 to 8 so I need to get ready...bye!))

message 21: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton snatched your phone and typed in her number. "Text me." She said.

((The party took longer than expected...))

message 22: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton rushed to get to her math class on time. By the time she opened the door, the majority of the class was there. The teacher was not. Peyton took a seat in the second rows and pulled out her phone to text...no one. She had no friends, except for maybe Peter. Peyton wasn't actually sure of her social status, so she checked on Twitter.

message 23: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments ((I AM SOOOOO SORRY! I don't have an excuse. I just actually slept last night.))

message 24: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments "Ok," Peyton texted back. She went through the rest of her day as if time was slowing down.

message 25: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments "Oh." Peyton had been expecting it but it was really sudden.

message 26: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton glanced darkly at the other kids. "It's not like I have anyone to tell." She muttered.

message 27: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments "Well I can see peoples...physical state" Peyton said.

message 28: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments An awkward silence followed. "I guess I'll go..." Peyton said.

message 29: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments ((My mom forced me to have lunch without my phone. Ugh.))

message 30: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments "I have 5 minutes," Peyton replied after texting her mom.

message 31: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments "Ok! " Peyton replied.

message 32: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments "Yeah..." Peyton awkwardly replied.

/Next Day\

Peyton quickly applied mascara while slipping on her heels. Honestly, Peyton didn't even know why she tried anymore. She talked to no one...important at least.

message 33: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton still had 15 minutes before she usually left so she went upstairs and changed out of her cute dress and into a t-shirt and jeans. She left her hair out, but she did change out of her heels and into Converse sneakers, which her feet thanked her for. After a quick makeup check, she climbed onto her bicycle and pedaled off to school.

message 34: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments She stepped into the computer lab to check something, and she was surprised by Peter.

message 35: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton, uncomfortable in the sudden casual attire blushed and looked down at the hideous linoleum floor. "I came here to...um...check on....THIS PLANT!" Peyton picked up a cactus and gazed at it. "I was so worried about you Calypso!" She exclaimed.

message 36: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments "Okay," Peyton sighed. Embarrassed, she continued,"I don't have a computer at home. We had to-" her breath hitched-"sell it."

message 37: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton shook her head. "It's more than that. We had to sell most of our possessions, except for a few items and the house itself." Peyton buried her face in her hands. "We're going to have to sell our house too." Tears tingled the back of her eyes. Ashamed, Peyton blinked them back and stood up.

message 38: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Suddenly, Peyton turned around, her hair whipping sharply. "I do NOT need pity," she spat, "Just leave me alone." To Peyton's dismay, she couldn't hold back tears as she rushed to the bathroom. Peyton gave up and let the tears flow freely. She had so much weight on her shoulders and it felt good to let it out. Her parents had been arguing endlessly and Alisha had been criticizing her every move.

message 39: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton sobbed loudly and uncontrollably. She hadn't done it in a long time, but she needed a distraction. She took a deep breath and pulled out a pack of emergency cigarettes and a lighter.

((If you were wondering I look like this...))

message 40: by artemis (last edited May 09, 2015 01:17PM) (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton ignored Peter and went through half the pack before realizing what she was doing. She let out a frustrated yell and sank to the floor. "I'm sorry," she whispered, "Thalia, I am so sorry."

((rp, I kinda look like this except my eyes are brownish green, and I have red hair...))

message 41: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton let out a shaky breath and got up, brushing the dust off her jeans. "O-Ok." Peyton made no move to wipe her tears, figuring that it would make her face blotchier. "I'm sorry Peter. I-I smoked and I stopped when my s-sister..." A fresh batch of tears rolled down her face.

message 42: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments "Mhm," Peyton agreed. She awkwardly walked with Peter to the parking lot with a strange lightness.

message 43: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton took a deep breath. "Thalia is...was my sister."

message 44: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments "It's too late to ask. She-" Peyton hiccuped, which happened after she cried-" left us last year. She was the reason I stopped smoking. She had-"HICCUP-"cancer."

message 45: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments "Oh Peter." Tanya climbed out of her side of the car and opened Peters door. Peyton gave him a hug and then, embarrassed, she blushed and let go.

message 46: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments ((Sorry I meant Peyton. I'm doing another rp and I'm so confused!))

message 47: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton gasped. "Th-this is way worse than my problems. I feel like a jerk!" Peyton glanced behind them. "Peter, I think you should start driving."

message 48: by artemis (last edited Apr 19, 2015 01:43PM) (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton climbed into the backseat. The atmosphere in the car was too awkward to sit in the front.

message 49: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments Peyton was ignorant of the car behind them. "Where do you live Peter? I don't think we're going home."

message 50: by artemis (new)

artemis (an-addict-with-wifi) | 925 comments "What?!" Peyton glanced back. The car looked familiar, but Peyton couldn't pinpoint it. "Take this turn!" she said.
