I had a difficult time getting this far, sorry to say. It's been so long since I read the last book that I find myself consulting the Krasian dictionary more than I would like, it is arduous to say the least. What I want to know is does this book continue to be such a task to read, trying to keep characters straight and understanding Krasian terms, or have I just lost interest in this series and am in denial?

Sorry I've never had an issue remembering Krasian terms or characters. The book switches to the Hollow characters nearly exclusively for a huge chunk of the book after about a third of the way in. So that wouldn't require remembering as much Krasian stuff.
I just finished chapter 11: Docktown and I'm back on board. In the few previous chapters I got to spend some quality time with Amhan and Arlen which was pretty cool, enjoyed the mind demon battle in Anoch Sun. And I like Abban a lot too and his tenuous relationship with Jayan. Pretty compelling stuff.
