Lily (joy1) | 749 comments Sorry to be so slow about getting posted for this month. I will miss the f2f discussion. Hope you have a good one. I have not had a chance to read this. For those of you who read Kate Atkinson's Life After Life, I am wondering if you will have comparison points.

One comment just encountered: "I thought when I started reading it that this would be similar to Life after Life, but the fact that Harry has perfect recall of his previous lives makes it quite different - instead of exploring different routes that the same life can take, it explores how you can use one lifetime to accumulate knowledge to help you in the next."

Lily (joy1) | 749 comments If you want extracts and don't have an ebook, it looks as if the first six chapters may be accessible via a link here:

Lily (joy1) | 749 comments From April meeting notes:

"We had an intimate gathering on the 4/18, discussing The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August. All agreed that Claire North had an interesting perspective and we enjoyed the similarities with Groundhog Day. We hope to have more suggestions for further reading to be discussed at our next meeting, 5/16, when we will discuss Some Luck by Jane Smiley. It was also suggested that we read Harper Lee's new novel ( Go Set a Watchman ), possibly in September.
