No, because his major thing was that he never broke a promise/valued loyalty. So betraying his wife, would completely contradict his philosophy

Well it depends on how fantasy it gets, the children are still bastards meaning he never broke a promise, marriage in those days didn't stop bastards and there were no problems with having children with others
It's his background that would do it, he saw it drive his parents away from each other and thus he swore not to do it and then I realized there were bastards and that ruined him so I'm just gonna recreate him.
I know, but for me the way I see it would cause the start to evil.
