I like my farmland too. I just snuggled in for the winter.

Geez, with so many things changing in the world. It's rather comfy to know that I can always come home to my cubi, and that everything will be the way it was when I left.
I know that change is good, and after awhile, things do get messy and chaotic if they stay the same. But, I rather strive on chaos and Familiar surroundings. It is like coming home to your parents' house after you have grownup and moved out. :]

Cyber, Marisol. It's nice having a spot of our own. I think Dee is reluctant to have to change her cubi to a new spot since she's comfy where she is.
A key on your keyboard might have stuck, Marisol.I like my cubical too, and for much the same reasons as Dee likes hers, but I have no idea how to move stuff. If I ask for help when the time comes someone may be able to help me.
It's just a discussion... you do have a whole lot of posts, I'm sure you'll get them again.... oh. yeah. I have typos a lot : D
You can always re-decorate your new area just like your old one. I'm sure Tink would be happy to help spread her fairy dust and transform cubicles. :D
But just so you guys know, we won't close this group. And I'm guessing that you guys aren't going to completely desert it either.
I've stayed out of this topic because I don't really have an opinion either way on whether we should end this group or not... there are pros and cons to each option. A new group is a new beginning and allows us to make new goals, resolutions, etc., and gives us a chance to start anew. :) But I do also see the draw of routine in our hectic lives. But just in case anyone was wondering, I'd be happy to help you decorate your new cubi, whether you want it to look like you're old one or start fresh. Personally, I get bored with the same old thing... so it's up to you, I suppose.
XOXO Tink
I don't really care either way, either (lol!). Like Tink said, it would be a way for use to start anew with our resolutions, but it would also be a way to have a chance to start again in trying to keep up with peoples threads (for those who, like me, have not been on here in a very long time). Whatever you decide is great with me - I really don't care!Lai (Yes, I'm still alive)
I rather like mine too, although I haven't been there in a while. I don't see why we would start again. Just seems kind of silly to me. Change the name, and continue on. Especially for cubies like Dee's that have so much in them. It seems a shame to just close it off and start over. Just a thought. Honestly, I don't know that I would begin again.
Just to clarify, here's what we're doing:
This group will remain open as a place to just chill. You can still have your own cubical, or whatever you wish to call it. You don't have to have a writing goal or anything. The name will be changed to something else, but it will still basically be the same group.
Meanwhile, there will be a new group: Write in 2010. This group will be more focused/structured/organized, although it will still be very similar to the way this group is now.

Thanks for clearing up some of the confusion with the new and old group Roni.
I know that I am excited to be a part of both groups :]
Wishing everyone a most wonderful holiday season and a fantastic New Year :]

I agree! I think that's a great idea. This can be our party group and the other group can be our focused group. : )

will you post a link to the group inside this one so that we can join it, when the time comes?
We'll most likely set up a link in this group. Probably in a closed topic so that people can get back and forth between groups.
