Izzy Mason (izzymason) | 19 comments Hello, I had my name added to an old edition of my book Plata (which had been published under a different pen name), but I need the updated book with new cover added. It's fine to leave the old one as an earlier edition, but I really need the new cover edition added. This link *should* take you to the right page:
http://www.amazon.com/Plata-Izzy-Maso...

Thank you!

Izzy Mason (izzymason) | 19 comments I tried that and I get the error message "Sorry, this book could not be set as the work's primary edition."

Please advise.

Thanks.

Izzy Mason (izzymason) | 19 comments Okay, I had to change the authors first, and then it worked. Got it!

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments Please do not change the authors, policy is to keep first published author name first. You can claim both profiles using different email addresses.

If you need help setting the default on a book that you are not the primary author then you need to contact GR Support

lethe | 16372 comments I reverted the name order change, and it looks like the new edition is still the default. So perhaps changing the name order just for setting the default can be used as a workaround?

Not advisable, as it can cause problems. As Paula said, an author having trouble setting the default should contact Support.

1. If the stories are available individually, they may not be combined. You can list them in the description of the anthology, though.

2. No, the ASIN must stay on the original edition. In the description of the new edition you can mention that it is an alternative cover edition of ASIN ...

3. In blog posts you can post whatever you want, and also in your author profile, AFAIK. In group discussions however, this is considered spamming (please delete these).

Edited to add help topic: https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/5...

Thank you for all your help.

Deleted posts...

The only other question I have is...
I have a book that I wish to not be associated with. Can I request books or editions to removed from my profile?

lethe | 16372 comments The images are still visible in your comment above, please edit it to delete them, thanks.

If it is a book you have written, I'm afraid it will have to remain on your profile.
