Hoping Someone Can Help Me Identify A Movie

Hey all,

I'm not sure if anyone can help. I have been searching for a movie that I only saw a part of long time ago.

It's a movie about a young guy who is only interested in older Jewish men. He starts dating a guy, but then goes for an older rabbi. That's all I can remember of it. It seemed like a dark comedy. It was kind of captivating and I would love to see the whole thing. Any ideas what it could be?

WOuld that be Let My People Go?

At first I thought "Eyes Wide Open" but that was definitely not a comedy and infinitely darker in tone.

Thanks for the idea, but nope. That is not the movie. The movie is much older than that. I am trying to recall when I saw it, but I know it was quite a long time ago. Anyone else have any ideas? I couldn't have just imagined this movie, could I?

Ummm ... is it "Next Year In Jerusalem" which was made in 1997? The synopsis doesn't quite fit your description but it does have the Jewish elements.
