A lot of the things that immediately came to mind for me on this one were technically not novels, they were novellas, ha. No judgment if the distinction doesn't matter for you to be clear, this is for fun after all, but it definitely matters to me. I've been putting some thought into it. Hammajang Luck by Makana Yamamoto and Lakelore by Anna-Marie McLemore are my current frontrunners, but I'll be keeping an eye on the thread for ideas.
