Drace (dracenines) | 7871 comments All of the English editions of The New Annotated H. P. Lovecraft have typos in their titles. In the official title of the book, there is a space between the H. and the P. While Goodreads policy says that on author pages there should be no space between author initials, this only applies to the author pages themselves, not the titles of books. All of the following editions need to have a space put between H. and P.:

The New Annotated H.P. Lovecraft (First edition hardcover)
The New Annotated H.P. Lovecraft (Kindle, ASIN B00N33M25M)
The New Annotated H.P. Lovecraft (Current hardcover, ISBN 9780871404534)
The New Annotated H.P. Lovecraft (Ebook, ISBN 9781631490552)

Martin | 37596 comments It is just a matter of formatting, makes no difference to the title itself.
Personally I feel it looks better to have the name in title formatted the same way as the author name.

Scott | 11388 comments No space definitely looks better.

Drace (dracenines) | 7871 comments I assume librarians would correct it if a new edition of Moby-Dick came out from Penguin Classics Deluxe Editions or something similar and it was listed as MobyDick by mistake. I don't really get why this is any different, or when "it looks better" took precedent over formatting the book details to match what's on the cover, the copyright page, and the publisher's website.

Scott | 11388 comments Well, that example would actually be incorrect.
There is no space between the initials on the cover, either.
Honestly I'm baffled this is even a request.

Drace (dracenines) | 7871 comments Just trying to help Goodreads data accurately reflect book information. If the librarians won't correct this one, so be it.
