Hello from Windfall..
what can i see? my computer is in the corner of my room.. so, i could see out of the window and some cars and houses, sometimes the occasional neighbor interaction.. i could see the door to my room and if its open into other rooms, slightly.. my TV is next to my computer but it isnt plugged in.. and dvds tapes and compter stuff are on the shelfs of the tv stand.. if i turn around i could see by bed and directly behind me is the side of my bookcase of which my New Jersey flag is hanging, serving as a back drop for if i ever use my webcam, which i dont really..
Usually in my cubicle at work, like right now. Or on my comfy loveseat in my family room or my comfy kitchen chair in my kitchen or my comfy chair and ottomon in my living room turned library/music/gaming room.
Ditto what Jaime said when I'm at work.
When I'm at home, I'm in my home office, which consists of a cherry wood desk, a pair of bookshelves, a fireproof safe, a lateral filing cabinet, and some tasteful artwork, with a big bay window facing the sidewalk.

I'm usually accessing GR from my office at work, which looks out over a busy, but nicely treed street. If not there, my couch at home, from where I can see out the window to downtown Olympia.
There's something terrifying about that perspective, Richard. Your arms are down there...so how are you taking the photo? Why are your office supplies reaching out for me? Why is your pixellated face staring at me?I need sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepp.............
i tried using the iphone app for GR but it is just too small and too much hassle enlarging the screen and navigating through diff screens. i am either at my computer on my desk at work or in the evenings in my chair while working on my laptop
Is that the Dutch translation of your book sitting on top of the English version, Richard? Cool cover. HEYYYY...are those always sitting there or did you commit an act of product placement?;) What is that thing encircling your phone? It kind of looks like a toy snake.
Well spotted, Tad! I was going to use this pic as the homepage of my new website, with clickables scattered across the screen. We've opted for a different photo now, but similarly styled.
A simple black desk, I think it's fake wood laminate. Stack of papers to my left, phone, pencil cup, two tubes of lotion, banker's lamp, with one of those wooden jointed artist's models using his arm to hold the lampshade in place because it's loose. To the right, bills that need to be paid, address labels, a couple flash drives. A stack of expensive cosmetics in boxes a friend gave me that I need to throw out because they've probably expired. Big ole snaky mess of cords and cables on the floor.
In front of me, double hung window. To my right, French window. Light green velveteen curtains.

Work. L-shaped, wooden desk. Large open area at the center of our office space. Pale green walls...just a shade off from that sickly color they used to paint elementary schools. All around the edges of my large space are glass fronted offices for my 5 bosses, a conference room and a kitchen. I'm all...exposed. Good thing they don't really give a crap what I do with my time as long as my work gets done!
I don't have the luxury of working in an office or a nice cubicle as a nursing student but I'm always on-the-go on my blackberry. The screen is unsatisfyingly smaller (can't see any of your faces!) than an iPhone or a laptop so I also use GR when I get home.
Barb, where did you get your desk? I need a new desk. I now have my new monitor on my weird old slanted desk.Hanna, don't worry about not seeing our faces. Most of us don't really look like this anyhow. There's a thread somewhere where everyone showed their eyes, though. Except for me.
I'm usually at work. I don't use the computer at home too much anymore. I'm share a tiny office with a coworker three filing cabanets, safe, and medium sized printer and my desk faces a wall.
At work I have a desk behind a counter, and at home I have my computer on a great big set of built-in shelves. The latter is in my study, which is still full of boxes of papers and books from the renovation I did two years ago. I really need to get all the books back on the shelves.

I'm either at work, in my basement office, near the front of the hallway, I'll post pics later, or on my couch with a couple dogs next to me. I'll post pics later, too.
But what about you? What can you see besides the computer screen when you're on TC?
