4 poems at once!

Lothlorian poetry journal has 4 of my poems up. Submitting is a massive PIA tand takes a lot of time. But I’ve gotten a few acceptances already, which is great . Congratulations! I particularly liked Las Maňanitas. Your simple words and details made those men very real to me. There are so many stories in those images.

A nice haul for Lothlorien. And I, too, like how "Las Mañanitas" lends dignity to these hard-working men. We are a nation of immigrants, and the Lord commands that we see the humanity in every human being. This touches on that.

I really enjoyed your poems, Ruth. I felt compassion in "Las Mañanitas", because I anticipated ICE destroying their ability to work. In Out of the Scanner and into the Fire, I felt the fear we get when we must wait for a diagnosis.
