I think I’ll always go back to books I read as a kid, major nostalgia always keeps the spirits high

My sister said the Anne of Green Gables books did the job for cosy comfort this year. For me, when life is a bit much I want something that's a real page turner so my mind can't wander at all - usually a thriller by someone like John Grisham.
For me it's Stephanie Garber, or Alice's adventures in Wonderland I used to read it a lot when I was a kid and I still love it so much.
uhm i dont own that many books (sadly im a library girly) but the comfort go to read that i have in my house is prob the halfblood prince, the order of the phoenix or the lvoe hypothesis
no question, The Origin of Words According To DJ; and Insanity Is Hereditary you get it from "Your Children."(2023 edition) Both are written in refreshingly unorthodox styles and uniquely enlightening.
the cruel prince and powerless or audiobooks for powerless, fourth wing and ACOTAR for when I just need to sit and listen to stuff
Huntress by Devin Thorpe m, just gives me an immediate confidence boost, probably not so much a comfort book but it's short and I'm always happy when I've finished it

my go-to comfort reads are always Mariana Zapata, Kennedy Ryan, and Penny Reid. I can reread their books endlessly when I need a little escape <3
Acotar (but only the first book) I grew up loving beauty & the beast and always wanted to read some sort of retelling about it. finding Acotar was like a childhood dream getting fulfilled so I'll forever love the first one more than rest of the series. Also I adored the Howl's moving castle vibes. Book 1 is fairytale like and jus magical! it was such a fun read, although I noticed Tamlin's character assassination that'll happen in the 2nd book (which is kinda heartbreaking) while re-reading this time but enjoyed it regardless ❤️✨
check and mate by ali hazelwood is such a cute fluffy romance i love it sm it's a goated comfort readoh and i've reread the first few books of boys of tommen and the naturals series like 17 times by now the characters honestly feel like a second home atp
when life feels to much, i would read any of these books. They both die at the end, Until the ribbon breaks and Paperweight by meg haston.
