Rory is asked by Sheriff Miller to come in for questioning and he asks Nikki to join him but was under the mistaken impression she’d accompany him in the room. Throughout the questioning, he seemed hostile and limited his responses. What did you think was going on? Was it predictable given his family’s history with law enforcement?

Given that his brother was railroaded into 20 years in prison, Rory wasn't going to let the same thing happen to himself. I can see being careful and getting an attorney, but he was making himself look guilty by refusing to help the police.
