[RESOLVED] Default description - "only one edition"

Would it help to separate the editions, add correct description, then recombine?I know it's a long way round but it may overcome the bug.
Well, it seems like it was a very temporary hiccup, because when I went to separate the German edition, the "Setting default (only one edition for this book)." comment had gone and I could just change the edition's description to German. All editions have the correct language description now.
I have encountered that bug repeatedly of late. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. Books that were fine one day will have the message the next. The first time I saw it, I thought perhaps I had accidentally separated that edition instead of the one I meant to, but nope. I sent that one to support. They told me they were aware of the ongoing issue, and the developers were working on a fix. Yeah, we all know that means years from now it might stop happening.

I corrected the default description from German to the language of the original edition, Italian. Even though the editions are combined, on the 'edit book' page it reads "Setting default (only one edition for this book)."
Since now the description on the German edition was changed to Italian, I wanted to change it back to German, but there it says the same: "Setting default (only one edition for this book)."
So if I change it to German, the default description will just revert to German again.
All the editions in question are combined. The latest combining took place on October 5 (by me), so I think the system should recognize that by now?
