Lacey seems to be rebounding nicely, bonding with Rory, his parents and Mark. She even calling Rory’s mother Granny Ruth. There even seems to be a thaw between Nikki and Ruth. Is this natural for a five-year old or a stretch?

Robin (robinmy) | 2485 comments It's natural if the adults allow it. All they would have to do is correct her and tell her what to call Ruth and it would be done.

Children have a way of becoming a bridge between adults. This felt realistic as I’m sure they have empathy for Lacey and she’s hard not to love. It’s natural for children who’ve experienced trauma to open up to those who want to love her.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3548 comments I believe it is natural. I agree that sometimes children can pull the adults together and they will bond over the child.
