Elias Camargo | 3 comments Read this book in 1994. Seem to remember the main character being a boy about 12ish. There was an evil force that had resurfaced after many years of laying dormant. It was re-animating dead animals including ones in a taxidermy shop to terrorize the town. This force could not pass beyond this ancient door which protected an artifact it needed to come to full power. There was also a benevolent power that the boy had to bring forth before the evil found a way in. At the end i vaguely remember the evil force breaking through with an army of dead animals but at the same time the boy released the good force which animated an army of toy soldiers and maybe some other things that i cant remember. The good force won and that's all i can remember.

Elias, I've looked for your book on goodreads so we can add it to the solved shelved books. I can't find Strangers in the Watchtower by Mike Jefferies.

I did find Shadows in the Watchgate by Mike Jefferies. Could this possibly be your book?
