Bob Chitwood loaned Josie his set of rosary beads that were given to him during a time of trial. He says he wants them back but not until Josie is ready. When she leaves the cemetery and declines to go back to the station, she heads to the liquor store to get Wild Turkey, her crutch of choice. But before she can enter the store, she drops the beads and that stops her. Your thoughts about what Chitwood did and her readiness for return?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 3009 comments Chitwood is a wise man. He knows Josie suffered a deep trauma and since those beads helped him through a trauma once upon a time, he loaned then to Josie hoping they would give her comfort too. Josie's readiness to return? Ready - no. Need to return and be useful - yes. Josie was wallowing and she needed to get her mind on something else.
